The summer had passed quicker than you would have liked. But still, impossibly slow.

Your time was mostly spent avoiding the disgustingly happy couple, that was Finn and Rachel. Wherever they were, generally, you weren't.

Matt had left. Transferring schools and moving away with his family. Bringing on the inevitability most high school students faced when they were separated from their friends once had school finished, much sooner than you had ever expected.

You would miss him. He was one of your good friends, after all. But at least you still had Mike.

Speaking of the dancer. He also left you during the summer, soon after.

Not in the same way that Matt had left you. You didn't know what you would do if both of your boys had moved away from you, especially in the same year.

No.

Mike had gone to what he called "Asian Camp" with Tina.

Which had left you with a select group of friends for the rest of the holiday.

Namely Santana, Brittany, and Quinn.

Well... if you were being entirely honest.

It was mostly just Quinn.

You and the girl had spent a lot of time together. Going on unofficial dates. Which ended with the two of you making out in the back of your car. In some undisclosed location, where neither of you would be caught. Whilst also being there for her during her darkest times. The girl was still reeling after giving up her daughter Beth and all of the lingering hormones.

However, that all came crashing down a month into the season.

Quinn had randomly cut your... whatever off. Hardly contacting you after that.

You were honestly left so downtrodden.

Not knowing what was happening inside.

Your last encounter with the blonde replaying over and over again, every night you laid awake in bed. The lingering feeling that you couldn't help the girl with whatever she was dealing with festered within your chest.

Not knowing if you had actually done something wrong. Or, if quite simply, she just didn't want you anymore. At least like that.

Quite frankly, you were heartbroken.

There had been nothing official between you and the blonde. Never a label put on the thing between the two of you. But you liked her, and she had repeatedly told you the same.

Your family had noticed something was wrong.

Well... your father's did. Rachel was too busy to care about anything but performing, herself, and her relationship with Finn to notice.

It may seem terrible, but you had defaulted back to Santana.

But hey! That was your relationship. You were friends who also used each other for sex.

That's normal, right?

You were, however, curious as to where Brittany had disappeared off to. You weren't incredibly worried for the girl, though. She still texted and called. It was just in her nature to wander off and reappear at random.

LeRoy and Hiram weren't overjoyed by your spur of the moment decision during the final stretch of the summer.

You had come home with a project motorcycle. A hobby for you to work on, other than your job and Glee Club -also school-. They would have preferred a car. But once you had told them that it would take a long time to fix up, considering its condition and how old it was and that once it was running perfectly, you would make sure to wear the necessary protection, and finally that you would be incredibly safe.
