Chapter 5

The next morning was hectic. The adults had an Order meeting for four hours during which Naz spent half her time with Reg and the other half with the kids. She knew it would take more time for her to get comfortable with so many people but she felt that she had no other choice. She only knew that the people there knew who had attacked Reg and that they were working against them. She also knew that they would protect her and keep her safe. All she wanted was for Reg to get better soon.

She had talked with Cygnus the other day after dinner and had liked him very much. She was surprised to find out that Sirius and Lyra were siblings and his cousin. He was also Auror Tonks' uncle. She imagined what it would feel like to have such a large family and so many uncles, aunts and cousins. Family was a fascinating thing for Naz. She liked studying about large fictional or historical families. The family relationships and dynamics interested her the most. She also liked the relationship him and Remus had. It was clear they loved each other very much. Everyone here loved each other.

Sirius and Joanna are always making fun of each other but it is also clear that they appreciate each other the most. Lyra and Nathaniel were a couple straight out of a fairytale. What shocked her most was when Cygnus told her that they had more siblings. Cygnus had three older sisters and Sirius and Lyra had two more brothers. She did not ask him about them since living with Reg she knew when to not continue a topic. Cygnus had the same look in his eyes talking about their siblings as Reg did when talking about his family.

By evening the house was in frenzy once more. Matthias Dumbledore was coming soon and everyone was happy. The adults had made his favourite food and the kids were busy making a welcome home card.

The door opened at around five and he was soon engulfed in a hug by James. "Mate, my best mate

"Oi!" Came Sirius' voice. "What about me?" And he soon pushed James and hugged Mathias. The super loud and lively greetings took a few minutes after which everybody started to calm down. They had prepared a sort of welcome home party for him during which Mathias was busy hugging everybody and giving them gifts. He greeted all children and when he saw Naz, he was stuck.

"Um.... did one of you have a secret child I didn't know about he tried to joke but nobody laughed and it only made Naz more uncomfortable. Lyra went ahead to diffuse the tension. " Oh Mathias. Her name is Nazli. She is our new guest she said with an expression that told him not to enquire further. He gave her smile, said hello and the party resumed.

People were chatting, eating and having fun. By now she had managed to get better acquainted with the people and had made friends with most children. She talked with them a little but soon despair took over. She felt guilty for enjoying while Reg was there going through who knew what. She sneaked out of the room to sit by her brother. His condition was improving but he was still unconscious. Not even a movement. Not even a sign for Naz.

A few hours into the celebration, Mathias saw Naz leave the room. He had forgotten about her in thr middle of the chaos and so much wine but now he was sitting next Cygnus and it was the perfect time. He enquired about her. He was bewildered when Cygnus told him about everything from Regulus being alive to the attack on him to the little teenager he had with him. He had missed a lot he realized and he wanted to see Reg immediately. He remembered Reg from Hogwarts and that feeling he got when he saw him and asked Cygnus immediately to take him to Reg.

When Cygnus and Mathias were on their way, they heard a voice, someone mumbling. When the yopened the gate to Reg's room, they saw Naz already sitting there.

"Oh sorry. We didn't realize someone was here. We were just uh... checking in" Mathias started rambling.

"Are you okay?" Asked Cygnus although he knew it was a stupid question.

"Yeah. I think he'll wake up soon. I can feel it." Said Naz trying to be positive. They both smiled at her. Mathias liked her immediately and felt a sort of familiarity.

They had a conversation for a few minutes after which they all went for dessert. Everyone was having honeydukes candy. Naz was confused when she saw it. "You've never had them before?" Oliver Wood almost screamed at her.

"Noo.." she said and he gave her a pale yellow candy with a smirk.

It was the puke flavoured Every Flavoured Bean and Naz was disgusted. Everybody laughed and that made her laugh too. Then Mathias gave her the good candies and she decided never to trust Oliver again.
