BASED ON : golden by harry styles - especially the line "and i know that you're scared because i'm so open"
PLOT : oc is a muggle born witch who was raised by very religious parents, when they found out she was a witch, her parents did everything they could to 'get the evil out' of her as they assumed that her being a witch meant that the devil was within her. but obviously it didn't work and they sent her to hogwarts anyways (to try and get rid of her for as long as they could each year - keep their 'possessed' daughter away from their perfect family. only her little brother loves that she is a witch.
as she grows up in hogwarts, her parents realise that she hasn't changed that much, however any mention of magic, witches and hogwarts then they absolutely flip and treat oc like shit for a few days until they think they've 'punished' her as much as she deserves. they still take her to church with them to ensure that she isn't falling too far from gods path, and she still believes in god - however she doesn't believe in all of the bible etc.
when oc is in a certain year, she meets marlene mckinnon and the two of them instantly feel an attraction to one another and become friends very fast and soon want to become more, however while marlene is very open with her sexuality, oc is not - but the oc cannot deny her feeling towards marlene.
she believes that god loves everyone, and that god wouldn't be made at her for being attracted to a girl and overall a lesbian, but she is scared of her parents disowning her. she's already faced so much because of them and she doesn't want them to be even angrier at her for being a lesbian so she hides her feelings and stops talking to marlene
eventually, after a few weeks of marlene trying to talk to oc, oc gives in and tells marlene about her feelings and how scared she is that someone will tell her parents or that they'll find out and that they'll do awful things to her.
marlene listens, and responds with something like 'and i know that you're scared because i'm so open, but i'll be with you every step of the fucking way. we're in this together babe."
they fall in love, then her parents find out and there's massive angst and arguments
then it either goes well, eventually they come around
or
it's bad and oc leaves her parents house to stay with another accepting relative or with marlene
or
she breaks up with marlene and they never get back together, she marries a man and hates her life forever while marlene is happy
or
breaks up with mwrlene, marries a man and a few years later oc sees marlene again and they have an affair - oc divorced husband and gets with marlene

OC was perfect to her parents, their heaven on earth.
That was until a man by the name of Albus Dumbledore told her that she was a witch, and within an instant their opinion on her had changed completely.
Then OC meets Marlene McKinnon.
Marlene McKinnon was the picture of beauty, with her long golden hair, her plump red lips, her blue eyes that lit up so often, her voice that captured OC's heart within only a few words.
But OC doesn't know what to do anymore,
she knows she can't stay true to her parents beliefs and stay true to herself.
