Ada's POV:

Thomas and Newt got back early the next morning and Tom didn't seem impressed by the idea Gally had to get us into the building.

After they all got back we went into another room and we all stood around a table, talking about the way to get into WICKED. Gally told us his plan and we were all discussing how it would work.

"No. There's gotta be another way." Thomas says, walking back over to the table as he had paced off to the side.

"Like what? You've seen the building. She is our only way in."

"You really think she's gonna help us?"

"I don't plan on asking her for permission."

"I like that idea. She did betray us, Thomas, more than once." I say, agreeing with Gally. Thomas knew I meant what I said because I didn't use any of his nicknames, I called him Thomas, which is something I haven't done in a while.

"Am I missing something here? This is the same girl who betrayed us, correct? Same dick." Brenda says just after me.

"I like these two." Gally says about me and Brenda.

"What's going on, Tom? Why are you so hesitant?" I ask.

"What, are you afraid your little girlfriend's gonna get hurt? Hmm?" Newt says, shocking us all at his tone.

"Newt, sweetie, are you okay?" I ask but I don't get an answer as he is too focused on Tom but there is clearly something wrong.

"Because this has obviously never been just about rescuing Minho. Has it?" Newt continues.

"Wait. What are you talking about?" Thomas asks.

"Teresa. She's the only reason that Minho's even missing in the first place. Now we finally have an opportunity to get him back. And what? You don't want to because of her?" Newt says, getting up and walking Thomas back into a wall. "Because deep down inside you still care about her, don't you? Just admit it."

"Newt, I...." Thomas tries to speak.

"Don't lie to me! Don't lie to me!" Newt shouts, pushing Thomas harshly into the wall.

I walk over to the two of them when I notice Newt's grip on Thomas loosen.

"Sorry." He says to Tom. "I'm sorry." He says, turning to all of us.

"Let's go outside, get some fresh air." I say, lightly holding Newt's arm and walking out of the room. I can feel their stares on our backs as we leave the room but I ignore them, focusing on Newt.

We get outside and sit on the edge of the building, our legs dangling off the side. We sit in silence, just taking in our surroundings. I have questions about what he said and why he acted that way but I didn't want to push him, I can tell he is really upset about what happened.
