The forest was still as appealing and dark as ever. Yeji having head out into it seeking a very important temple. A temple holding one of the most rare artifacts and probably one of the only things able to take Ryujin down if used correctly.
She herself never wanted to take Ryujin down, she just wanted to prevent someone else from doing so. By raiding the temple of it's reason for existence, she could make sure Ryujin stood no chance of ruin.
She told Ryujin to stay at the castle, keep things together for a while.
"I'll be okay darling, you need to stay here, keep things in order just a little longer. If you leave so soon things could revert." Yeji said, fighting the urge to stay in bed with Ryujin. The girl had her arms tightly held around her waist, body flushed and comforting against her own. The way in which that perfect mouth placed kisses to her bare shoulder did not make her urges any easier to resist.
"Must you go?" Ryujin pouted, washed away in Yeji's soft eyes.
"I must darling, don't worry, I'm bringing Yuna with me." Yeji chuckled, leaning uncomfortably to peck the girl's lips, to which was worth any discomfort in her movement.
So there she stood, throwing rope down into the top of the temple opening, Yuna next to her. They waited for the sound of the rope to hit the ground.
Soon enough, they were roped down. Flames lighting their path as they strolled.
"Say, what does this artifact do?" Yuna asked, gulping as they walked through cobwebs and saw creatures scatter around them.
"It can turn back time." Yeji said, sighing. "Only a certain amount, and only those within the burst will be able to remember what's going on." Yeji huffed. "After a while, time will turn forward, and if anything changed, it will be changed."
Yuna's eyes widened in the possibility of horrid futures.
"So, I'm here to destroy it." Yeji said, rounding a corner, a large spider dropped from the roof. She was quick to clone, both of her attacking and killing with ease. She really was amazing in combat. Just, some situations render her weaker.
It was rather exhausting, the traps and pathways they had to run through to reach the place where the artifact was held.
Unfortunately, the pathway to that platform fell after the first few steps, and Yuna would have to go back through the original opening.
Yeji's eyes sparkled, the golden artifact glowing bright green from a band around the middle. It looked like a capsule, if anything. She took it, watching the structure shake but not fall. She breathed, grateful, before starting to climb a provided latter.
She felt happy, ready to walk the earth and drown in love with Ryujin. Rule the world and bring much desired peace. Even if it meant some fighting, they could do it. But, some are cruel, and cold, and as she walked back into the light of the forest -busting the wall opening from the side of the temple- breathing the fresser air, she was knocked unconscious.
"Well, look at that, she did all the work for us." Felix said, laughing with a group of warriors. Yuna just emerged, keeping herself quiet upon realizing the sheer amount of people there. She teared up, watching them kick her unconscious body for good measure. Yuna had to remain quiet, and while they restrained her and roughly carried her away, she started to run.
She ran and ran, she needed to get to the castle.
Yeji was taken.
The artifact was taken too.
