Prolougue

I lay there, looking up into the summer sun, watching the clouds go by, uncapable of moving. Then he leant over me, calling my name. His sandy hair dropped into his eyes, his soft, hazel eyes. Those lips that belonged to an angel, recalled my name. I tried to call back to him, let him know my feelings, but no words came out, just a triumphant breathe. He leaned closer and my heart felt like it was going to stop beating as he pressed his lips to mine. The taste of mint flooded my mouth, reminding me of days I spent with my sister on the beach. He pulled away, calling my name once more before coming back. This time I felt life pouring into me, seeping through my veins and lungs. Once again he came away from me and I finally felt able to move and breath.

I felt a crowd around me, all peering in on me to watch me, in the background I saw an ambulance pull up, it's siren blaring in my ears. I played back my first kiss in my head as they pulled me on, and watched my angel shrinking in the distance as we drove away.
