"Not going to lie, but this party kind of blows," Milan said. He took a sip of his punch as he looked around the gym hall that was covered in Halloween decorations.

"You're only saying that because you don't have a date," Quinn said as the kept an arm around their date, Nessa.

Milan rolled his eyes at the couple, it was already bad enough that Quinn was dressed as a doctor and Nessa was dressed as a nurse. Matching costumes, he could tolerate. But matching costumes and public display of affection? That had Milan feeling more single than ever.

"I thought your date was that Leo guy," Nessa pitched in.

"He wishes," Quinn scoffed.

"I do," Milan muttered. Nessa just gave Milan a sympathetic smile, before turning her attention back to Quinn.

Milan kept looking at the entrance of the hall, Leo wasn't there yet, but he had told Milan that he would come. Milan had already been at the party for an hour, and there was still no sign of Leo. Maybe he ended up deciding that the dance just wasn't worth his time?

Quinn and Nessa left to go to the dance floor, and Milan frowned as he sat alone on their table. He was on his phone, playing sudoku to pass time when he felt someone clear his throat behind him. Milan turned around in his chair to see Leo standing there.

Milan's face broke out in a grin almost instantly, as he stood up to face the older boy. Leo was dressed in a pair of black pants and a plain white shirt. Along with that, he was also wearing black rimmed glasses, and his hair was styled with gel.

"You came," Milan said.

"Of course, I said I would, didn't I?" Leo replied in a casual tone.

"You were late so I thought..." Milan trailed off.

"That I ditched you?" Leo rose a questioning brow, and Milan just shrugged in response, "I had to go trick or treating with my sister, so I got a bit late."

"Oh! That's sweet," Milan said.

"What are you supposed to be?" Leo asked as he looked at Milan from head to toe.

"Goku," Milan grinned. Leo tilted his head in slight confusion, "wait, you don't know Dragon Ball Z?"

"I don't really play video games," Leo answered.

"It's not a— oh my God, Quinn is going to lose their shit if they get to know that you don't—" Milan was cut off by Leo chuckling.

"I'm kidding, I know what it is," Leo shook his head lightly as he spoke.

"Oh thank God," Milan sighed in relief. He paused as looked back at Leo, before speaking up again, "why are you not in a costume? Too uncool for you?"

"Who said I'm not in a costume?" Leo challenged.

"Wearing glasses is not a costume," Milan stated.

Leo smirked as he unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. Milan's eyes slightly widened as his cheeks went red, his mind went in overdrive as he tried to figure out what Leo was doing.

Leo's actions became clear once he unbuttoned the next couple of buttons, and revealed a superman tee beneath his white shirt. Milan laughed as he took in the whole look. The glasses and gelled hair finally made sense too.

"Clark Kent, of course," Milan said.

"Nobody said superman can't be Hispanic," Leo replied, "how's the party?"

"Boring," Milan said as he sat back down on his chair, "I should've stayed home and watched a movie."

"Where's your friend?"
