It hurts.

Everywhere.

Your whole being is in excruciating pain.

Amid the orbiting debris.

The explosion.

Flickering in your eyes.

It burns.

The cracking sound of metal devoured by fire.

The ashes, burnt in your retinas.

The smell of mud.

Dampness.

The wind howling.

The wind is black.

Strangely, you do not feel cold.

A hot breath.

A foul scent above you.

Something sniffing you intently.

Could it be one of your partners trying to save you?

No.

A menacing growl.

Fear.

Your body stands alert, feeling the danger.

Your vision is blurry and you blink continuously, your eyes crying uncontrollably because of the particles of dust stuck in them.

And all you can discern is a pair of red eyes in the dark.

The monstrous, hairy body of a Pokémon standing on top of yours.

You want to scream for help, but your mouth refuses to obey.

You believe that you vaguely let a sound escape your throat.

Similar to a faint whimper.

You want to run. You order your being to move you out of there.

Begging your arms and your legs to twitch, at least.

But your head is pinned to the ground.

It feels like a dream.

In between consciousness and depth.

Awake and asleep.

Standing on the edge and falling.

If you could fall, perhaps you would wake up from all of this.

The Pokémon must have noticed your heart pumping at a hundred miles an hour in your chest because it suddenly presses its gigantic paw on your torso.

You are suffocating and can feel its sharp claws trying to pierce you.

A wave of sorrow.

If you had to choose your own demise, you would have rather died in the blaze of the shooting star you had fallen with.

A painless, warm embrace.

Gulped by the flames in your own sleep, rather than being eaten alive.

You could have lived a peaceful death...

To live a death...

What does that even mean, anyway.

You have had enough.

Your only regret is you having been unable to see him one last time.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you, Emmet.", you cry interiorly.

You hope you and your Pokémon will all be safe and happy where you are going now.

All of a sudden, the huge Pokémon releases you and roars aggressively.

A blue ball of energy hits it in full force.

And another one.

"Decidueye, Aura Sphere again !", you hear a human voice and a Pokémon cry, somewhere in the vicinity.

"Hurry! Take them to safety!", orders another one, closer to where you are.

Somehow, you feel like you have become light-weighted.

Floating.

You are being carried away.

"Ah...", you sigh without realising.

"T-that person's alive !", you hear another female voice shouts in disbelief.

"Praise the Almighty Sinnoh. Take 'em to our village.", a man replies. "Check if anyone else's here!"

My Pokémon... you want to tell him. Please, find my Pokémon... Maybe they're still inside that thing...

Find him.

I must find him.

The sound becomes muffled as you exit the black curtain you were entangled in.

The bright, starry night shows up on top of you.

You have crossed to another world.

Before fainting, you see the last pieces of scrap of the shooting star disappearing, engulfed by flames.
