The small five year old,
Brown hair, brown eyes,
Living in a world
Of hatred and lies.
Little Dan Howell,
Only six years of age,
His parents full of
Harsh words and rage.
A seven year old boy,
Slowly getting older.
He's getting kinder
But his parents are colder.
Eight years old,
His parents abusing him,
Bruises are covering
His sensitive skin.
One year after,
He still gets hurt,
But he hides the bruising
Under his shirt.
Now in double digits,
He's growing up.
But nothing will change
Until he owns up.
Secondary school
Was a scary place
For an eleven year old
With an injured face.
Twelve years old,
He needed to kill the pain.
So he bought a sharpener
And removed the blade.
Now a teenager,
Scars on his wrists,
Thin, fragile skin,
Covered in deep, fresh slits.
He is now fourteen,
But still no one knows
That he struggles through life
Depressed and alone.
After seven long years,
His parents still hurt him.
He still harms himself.
Everyone hates him.
