Trentatré

Jeno couldn't even remember how he ended up here.

His mother accusing his dad of homicide, him having to start modeling because his mother said so.

Jeno actually building a career, becoming a big icon.

Him competing for the award that he always wanted since the start.

Him falling in love with his rival.

His mother coming back after so many years, destroying the relationship he had built up.

And now, the slow steps he took to go up on stage to receive that award,

It all felt so meaningless.

He didn't want something he didn't deserve.

He's such a horrible being.

Tears slipped down his eyes, but not because of the award, but because of the sudden realization that he maybe really did fuck up the only thing that gave his life a meaning.

He stood paralyzed right there, in front of the microphone.

The award was handed to him, into his shaky hands.

"First of all.... I- i wanted to thank all the people that- supported me all this t-time" Jeno hiccuped, squeezing his eyes shut.

"A-and I want to take this opportunity- the silence and everyone l-listening to me, to say something important"

"I might broke a persons heart today- a person that made me feel things I never felt b-before. If I am who i am today, it's in big part because of him. Because he loved me like no one else ever did. And I loved him like I never loved anyone before. T-today- he had to witness me being- being with someone else, against my will. On the 24th October 2017, I witnessed my mother killing her sister. My aunt. She accused my father of murdering her- and forced me to not say anything. I'm openly admitting that Lee Eunhui brutally killed Lee Minyoung. I want justice to be made, I'm so done being her pet.

And I'm sorry Jaemin. You don't deserve this at all. And I certainly do not deserve you. I completely understand if you want to end- end us, I just wanted you to know that I really love you. With all my heart."

"Thinking of you keeps me awake. Dreaming of you keeps me asleep. Being with you keeps me alive." Jeno finished, giving the award back to the person that handed it to him before.

Nothing. Nothing but silence.

Jeno was sure that half of the people present weren't even breathing, too scared to make a sound.

He looked around, Jaemin was nowhere to be seen.

He sniffled once more, wiping his cheeks.

As soon as he turned around, he heard a tap on his shoulder, making him turn back.

"I love you too" soft lips were placed on his, and Jeno didn't even need to open his eyes to know that Jaemin was the one kissing him.

His lips felt so familiar.

They felt like home.

Jaemin felt like home.

"To be you friend was all I ever wanted; to be your lover was all I ever dreamed" Jaemin chuckled, leaning his forehead against jeno's own.

"W-what's with us an love quotes?" The older wrapped his hand around jaemins wrist, running away.

They just kissed on live national TV.

But they didn't regret a thing.
