We've had some fun adventures this year, haven't we, dear poets? You've written poems of all kinds and we've delighted in every single piece.
This April, we're celebrating poetry month in style. Welcome to Versification!
If you've ever heard of NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), you're covered on the basics of what we're doing here. That's right, we will be publishing daily prompts in this anthology and you will be writing us poems every single day.
Daunting, we know. But we hope you will still dare and toss us your witty verses every single day in April.
We're taking our challenge a step further. Not only will we incorporate prompts from NaPoWriMo here, we will give you good old word prompts as well. So you'll have a choice of two prompts daily to choose from.
G U I D E L I N E S
⇾ Poems must be in English.
⇾ Each poem needs to have 4-8 lines to qualify. These are short poems so please mind the limitation.
⇾ Poems need to be original and written solely for this contest.
⇾ You will write your poems directly in the this form.
⇾ Since this is a different sort of a contest, we are restricting entries to only one poem per prompt.
⇾ We are, however, not restricting you to submit a poem the same day as the prompt is posted. You can go back to write for past prompts as long as you remember: contest closes 30th April 11:59 PM, EST.

⇾ As always, winners of each prompt will receive shout outs from us.
⇾ All entries by the prompt winners will be featured in a separate chapter in both this anthology and our winners' anthology.
⇾ The grand winner (with the most number of winning poems) will receive a sash for their profile, proclaiming them 'Grand Poetry Winner 2022'.
⇾ The grand winner will have a chance to be interviewed by us.
⇾ The grand winner will have the chance to be featured on WattpadAnthologies.
Note: winners will be chosen from our word prompts only

The last surprise this month is the relaunch of Poetessence. You may or not remember our anthology of articles on famous poets.
Each day, we'll publish a little something about a new poet and you can explore them further.
Have we dangled the gauntlet with sufficient flair, do you think?
Will you take us up on this challenge?
Feel free to drop your queries here (and here only in inline comments, please so we can get to you quickly and can avoid muddling up comments elsewhere).
