"I'm off out for the day Dad!" Leah shouted as she grabbed her handbag off of the kitchen counter and made her way towards the front door. She thought she'd made it when her dad suddenly materialised behind her.
"Out? You never go out. Where are you going?" he asked.
"Well now I do. You've been telling me for years to go out and have a life." He ruffled her hair affectionately.
"So I have. I was just surprised. What are you doing?"
"I'm having lunch and going shopping with Tamara and Jenna from work."
Leah felt guilty about lying to him, but he'd be furious if he found out she was in a relationship with Seb.
"Oh that's good. It's great you've made some friends. Have fun sweetheart. Just let me know if you want some extra money for shopping."
"Dad, I earn my own money. I can't keep sponging off of you all my life."
"It will be yours and Luca's one day anyway."
"Not for a long time. I have to go. Love you Dad," she said, kissing him on the cheek before heading outside.
It was a bright sunny day. Leah had dressed in a pair of denim shorts and a white off the shoulder top. Her hair was put up in a messy bun. She took her sunglasses out of her handbag and put them on before getting into her red Mazda CX-5.
She dumped her bag on the passenger seat and put her seatbelt on. She smiled as she pulled off down the drive. She couldn't wait to see Seb.
As they'd predicted they'd not seen much of each other over Monaco weekend. They'd only really communicated by text and a phone call each night.
Seb had then had a busy few days in the simulator at the Aston Martin factory and today, Thursday, was their first opportunity to meet up. They'd arranged to meet at country pub about half an hour's drive away from where she lived.
She turned the radio on as she pulled out onto the main road. She began to hum along to the reggae song that was playing and turned the air con on.
She'd been driving for about ten minutes when her phone rang. It was connected to the bluetooth system. She pressed a button to accept the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby."
"Seb, hi. I'm on my way. I should be there in about twenty minutes. What's up? You are still coming aren't you?"
"Yeah, I got there early. I just wanted to hear your voice."
"You sentimental sausage!" she said fondly. He really was the sweetest man alive.
"I just miss you. I want to kiss you again."
"And you will soon. Are you inside?"
"No, I'll wait in the car until you get here. What do you drive?"
"A red Mazda CX-5."
"I'll watch out for you. I'm in a green DBX."
"I won't be long. Got to go, I'm just heading onto the M40. I need to concentrate."
She disconnected the call and took the turning to join the motorway.

Seb smiled as the call disconnected. He hadn't been exaggerating when he'd told Leah how much he missed her. He should have been doing some gardening and training this weekend but he'd given it all a miss to spend time with her.
