[Tommy's POV]

Tommy was currently dangling over a deathly high, colorless cliff with the only thing keeping him from falling to his death being an insane god who wants Tommy dead.

Tommy looked at Ender.

Their only eye looked so insane, Tommy didn't even need other facial features to tell him that the god had lost their mind.

"I'm finally going to end this entire fiasco," Ender manically laughed.

"Ender, you don't want to do this. Just take the kid away from the ledge and place him gently on the ground," Mumza tried to reason.

"I 'don't want to do this'!? Of course I want this! It's what I've wanted this entire time!"

Ender looked around at the few people around them.

"You know, it would be sad for only half of your family to see their youngest die. Might as well have the other two join," Ender mocked.

Not a moment later, Philza and Wilbur were there.

"You know what?! Maybe I'll just kill off your entire 'family'! All they've ever done was cause problems," Ender sneered

Tommy wasn't going to get out of this.

He knew that.

He knew he was going to die.

So Tommy decided on something to hopefully distract Ender and help his family get away.

Tommy observed the fact that Ender was basically talking to himself and rambling about something.

Tommy looked towards his mother on the ground not too far from him.

She looked back.

Mumza started, "Tommy, it's going to be okay. I promi-"

"Don't. You don't have to make more promises you can't keep," Tommy struggled to say with the collar of his sweatshirt nearly choking him.

"Just save them. I'll cause a distraction," Tommy interupted.

Mumza's eyes widened as she hoped he didn't mean something that would get himself killed.

"I love you, mom," Tommy choked out with tears in his eyes.

"Tommy. Don't-"

Before Mumza could do anything, Tommy quickly grabbed Ender's 'hand' and pulled himself up just enough to jab his teeth into the starry skin.

Ender instantly turned their attention to their 'hand' and let go of Tommy allowing gravity to let him drop.

Tommy fell.

As he fell, he realized how lucky he is to have had a family like his.

Tommy was okay with dying.
