"UNO out! " Gelo slaps his last card on the deck. I suck my teeth and toss my last three cards on the table
"Damnnn" I sigh and stretch before looking at Jelly "Ready?"
She nods and cracks her back
"Alright, well we bout to head out" I stand from my seat and crack my neck
"Why you not sleeping over like everybody else" Jhay raises her brow at me. I look down at Melo and try to think
"Um, I di- Oh, I'm going outta town tomorrow and haven't packed or bought tickets yet so"
"What time we leavin tomorrow?" Melo asks
"Earliest flight possible"
"Melo you goin with her?" Zo questions. Melo nods his head and plays with the strings on my sweatpants
"Oh? Yall like dat? Where yall goin" Gelo asks
"Mind our business" Melo stands and turns me towards the door
"Bye, nice seeing yall" I wave at everyone as Melo walks Jelly and I out
"Not so bad hm?" Melo nudges me
"Not horrible" I shrug "How'd you like it Jel?"
"Interesting bunch" she doesn't say much and quickly gets in the car
"Think you'll be coming back?" Melo talks to me outside the car
"Hopefully not at the same time as Jhay" I tease.
Melo shrugs and opens my door "Text me when you get home?"
"Alright" I smile and sit. Melo looks at the house and then put his head down with a groan
"Get out the car," Melo tugs at my arm
"What? Why?"
"They do-poppin" he pulls me out the car, bringing his arms around my waist and his head into my neck
"I don't think they would've minded if you let your girlfriend get in the car without a hug"
"They know I'm touchy and clingy"
"Ew," I push him away "Are you really?"
"What you mean ew. I'm not finna be touchy wit yo ugly ah. Better get the hell on" Melo mushes my forehead
"Boy, goodbye" I laugh and hit him upside the head before getting back in the car
"Bye" he closes my door as I roll the window down "Bye Jelly"
Jelly looks up from her book and waves "Bye"
As soon as Melo walks into the house Jelly lets out a loud sigh and slams her book shut
"I hate Evoni, she would not shut up. Then Ant, his luh midget wannabe self, all up in my nuts the whole night. And he never got the hint that I was not interested. I'm not comin back, you better get you a new bestie to bring up here with they cookabutt selves" Jelly rants
"Girl," I laugh and pull out the driveway "Tell him you not into him"
"I'm not sayin nun, cause I'm not gon see him again"
"Jellyyy, be real. I can't come alone"
"Melo don't never leave you alone. Be real"
"Do you like him?" I blurt out
"You know Ion fuck wit his typa people. What typa question is that"
"No goofy, like as a friend or like as my future husband thing?"
"Meh. He's okay, don't really mind him. He knows how to play a part well"
"Hm" I put on Frank Ocean for the rest of the ride
