Jr is a strange kid he doesn't hang out with other teenagers, he not a rebel, and he's a geek with no sense of style like seriously 40s is the best you can do?  He gets bullied a lot though a lot.

That's how I met him, I was going down a alleyway to have a smoke and I saw him. He was on the ground covered with scrapes and cuts bruised everywhere. I ran over to the wall and got him up, "what the hell happened to you!?"

"Is he ok" the kid said through coughs.

"Are you ok, you need medical help, your holding your chest did you break something?"

"Did I saved him, the guy..h-he was getting beat" does this kid really think he's a hero? He's hurt, I bet he can barely walk and he thinks he he's a hero? Who would hurt themselves so bad to let another person escape. He's not a hero he can't take those hits without getting hurt, he's a kid.

I pay the ambulance bill and call his mother. Guess his fathers a dead-beat no wonder he's starstruck. His mother was very thankful I payed the ambulance bill, I guess they barely have enough money to pay for food let alone a ambulance. I told her once he gets better he can get a interview for the police station.

"if I can get to know him better I can put in a remark for the application." I told her. he seems like a kid trying to be a hero but, he'll have to learn a lot.

I checked my clock 10:37am.  It's been a couple of months since I met that kid. He was talking about a guy, and he still won't specify like he doesn't really remember what happened or he doesn't want to get someone in trouble. Either way the kids ok he just got a good beating, he's got a lot to learn if he gets the job. As I turn into the lounge to get a cup of coffee I over hear a conversation my coworkers are having.

"How did that kid get a job interview" she said in surprised "if he doesn't even believe police should exist?"

"Someone higher up probably is related to the shit, but he sure does ramble, like god how much do you know about super hero's?! It sounded like he was inviting me into a cult! I wonder who gave him that remark"  a male coworker said laughing all the way. "And that red mark in his hair HA!"

It's that kid! He was the one I put in the interview file.
"But the kid has a point..." I say as I finish making my coffee.

"What are you talking about chief you hate hero's and your backing the kid up?" He saids almost looking as scared as his friend. I'm not really the nicest person in the police station. I'm not surprised they think there getting a punishment for making fun of a kid.

"No I'm just saying the kids right. Every time we almost have a corporate the hero swoops in and saves the day. It's like that all around the world you can't escape it. We do all the hard work and the hero gets the credit, and we're left to clean up the mess. Did you send the letter to the kid yet?"

"No chief, but...." the boy was getting calmer now probably thought I was dead.

His friend already left, didn't want to get in trouble I presume I wouldn't put it past her I am pretty creepy. I don't sleep for days, the face that makes you feel like your about to get told your a disappointment, my scratchy deep voice, and these Strange marks on my face. there on my cheeks they are green swirls with the ending going straight down my face. All I remember about getting them was everything  bright green I felt like I was getting electrocuted and someone screaming "GREEN!"

"But what, spit it out your not five."  I'm getting piss now, I'm not going to hurt you just answer the damn question.

"But why would you care about the kid if you don't work with anyone that doesn't seem like you chief." Was he mocking me? I might deserve a little degrading off my self esteem but really?

"Just give me his papers and I'll take care of it" I'm to tired to prove a point.
