Leah gave a big yawn as she sat down at her desk in Miami on the Thursday morning. There had a been a lengthy delay with her flight due to mechanical problems, and she'd only landed at 1 am that morning.

By the time she'd arrived at her hotel and checked in she hadn't had much sleep before having to get up and head in to work.

Jenna yawned too. There was a lot of people who were running on empty that morning.

"Damn, I'm going to need a miracle to get through today. Either that or a industrial vat of coffee," the redhead groaned.

"Well I don't have a vat, but try this," Tamara said, coming into the room carrying three coffees in a cardboard cup holder in one hand, and a paper bag in her other hand.

She placed them down on her desk. She handed one cup to Jenna. "One latte, no sugar." Then she handed Leah a cup. "One Mocha with extra sugar."

"You are angel Miss Carter," Jenna said, sipping her drink.

Tamara opened the paper bag and held it out. "Pain au chocolat anyone?"   Neither of the other two girls could resist.

Tamara sat down behind her desk.   "So girls, tonight.  What are we doing?  I propose we just have dinner at the hotel like we were meant to last night.  I think an early night is on the cards."

"Here, here," Jenna agreed.  Leah bit her lip.  She was still waiting to hear from Seb.  Did he still want to take her out?  She didn't want to make any plans just in case.

"Leah?" Tamara asked.

"Actually I...". The door opened again.

"Morning!" Bella said far too cheerfully as she waltzed into the room.  "God, you three look rough."

"Delayed flight," Tamara said.

"Did I ask?" Bella replied.  Leah caught Jenna's eye and they both fought to contain their laughter.

"How's Carlos?" Tamara asked. "Oh I forgot, he discovered taste."

"Bitch! Anyway I have bigger fish to fry than Carlos Sainz. I'm planning on making my move on Seb. That man will be mine. He won't be able to resist."

Leah choked on her pain au chocolat. Jenna quickly jumped up and patted her on the back.

"Well good luck with that, you don't seem to have had much luck with him so far. And word has it that he may potentially be off of the market," Tamara retorted.

"Oh really? I've heard nothing of the sort and I'm much better connected than you are.  It's only a matter of time until he gives in to me."

Leah opened her laptop and accessed her emails. She couldn't stop thinking of Seb. He'd changed his mind, hadnt he? She didn't know why she was surprised. A man like him and a girl like her....nah, it could never have worked. It then occurred to her that she'd forgotten to get back to Daniel.

Picking up her phone she tapped out a text.

Leah: Hey Daniel, sorry I didn't get back to you, had a hectic week catching up with family and other stuff. My plane was delayed so only got here at 1 this morning. Can we take a raincheck? I'm absolutely shattered and I think an early night is called for. L x

Daniel must have had his phone in his hand because his reply came less than a minute later.

Daniel: no worries. I heard about the delayed flight, some of the McLaren PR girls were on it. That sucks. 😛 Enjoy your early night. Maybe we can arrange something for Barcelona? 😁
