Addie leaned in, close enough to see what's on her mom's lap. She slightly smiled. Joslyn Taylor, a 36-year-old woman, mother of Addie was on a dating app. When Joslyn saw Addie leaning in, she swiftly moved her phone out of view and laughed. "You can't just peak into other's phones like that." She said teasingly. "Now, we do need to go Back to School shopping, can you go get your list?"
Addie walked to her room her white Nike shoes tapping in a rhythmic pattern. She started humming 'My Ex's Best Friend' by Machine Gun Kelly. Addie pushed the door of her room slightly open, the recently remodeled, and every time Addie went there her breath was taken away. Everything was a shade of light blue, which reminded Addie of the times when they lived in Malibu. Now they lived in Portland Oregon, far from the sunny cliffs, and glittering waters.
