With a saddened sigh, she decided it was just best she go back to bed. There wasn't anything she could do. So, heading back upstairs, she made her way to her room and closed the wooden door behind her.

When the sun broke through her thin curtains, she sat up slowly in her bed. A headache brewing, she grumbled to herself as she gets out of bed to get ready for the day ahead of her.
When she was dressed, she headed downstairs and to her surprise, there was laughter and multiple voices to be heard.
Taking a breath, she pauses, unsure if she should move forward, because she did not feel like interacting with strangers.
There were a few voices she recognized. The sound of their laughing forever imprinted in her brain. Putting on a brave face, Vivian walked towards the group of men in the living room.
Two of which stood out to her.
"Ah, Vivian. Glad of you to join us. You know everyone, right?" Her father says, holding a empty glass of whisky in one hand, and a cigar in the other. The men around him all focus their eyes on her.
"Yes. Hello, Mr. Salvatore." She said, kindly towards Giuseppe. Stefan and Damon sit in the chairs beside him. Not taking their eyes off her.
"And my other colleague, Mr. Whitmore."
Vivian smiled kindly and nodded her head towards him. "Hello." She says. Wanting to leave now, she noticed the empty glasses and decided to use that as a way to get out of the room.
"Here, let me fill up your glasses. I'll get another bottle from the cellar." Turning to Stefan and Damon, she asks, "would you both mind helping me? It's on quite a high shelf."
"Oh, of course." Damon said, nodding his head he and Stefan follow her down the stairs to where the small cellar full of liquor and other things are.
"What the hell happened to your face?" Damon was the first to ask, as she stood by Stefan and let him grab the glass bottle that really was too high for her to reach.
Vivian had sighed, internally debating if she should lie or tell the truth. However, she figured they'd get the truth out of her anyway because with them, she was just that easy to read.
"I fell down the stairs. Embarrassing it was, really." She said, waving her hand like she was swaying away a pesky fly.
Stefan had sent her a look, his raised brow caused her to shake her head at him. She moved closer and tapped his arm, "really. It was in the middle of the night. I had gotten out of bed to get a glass of water...I tripped and slipped down the stairs."
"Really?" Damon questioned, not believing a word she was saying. When he first saw her, he didn't notice it. But then when he did, it really didn't look like a mark you would get from falling. He just had a gut feeling. And he had hoped that it would turn out to be wrong.
"I don't believe you for a second, you know that?" He asked, looking at her with a semi amused glare.
"I mean, you did just fall in a stream a few days ago." Stefan chimes in, causing the girl to huff and roll her eyes.
"Well, it was windy. And there were rocks. I just simply tripped over the step and fell. Nothing more." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. "Now. We should bring the bottle up now. They'll question our whereabouts." She said, turning to leave, but Stefan gently grabs her elbow, stopping her.
