HELL's POV

"If you love a flower, don't pick it up.

Because if you pick it up, it dies and ceases to be what you love.

So if you love a flower, let it be."

Back when I was young, like really young, when I was still a kid who could freely express himself and his love... there's this flower.

There was a flower that suddenly, out of nowhere, bloomed inside our garden.

I don't remember what kind of flower it is anymore, just that it is a flower, a really beautiful one, and I fell in love with it.

I fell in love with it, so I was about to pick it. But then the gardener lady rushed to me and stopped me before I could do so.

She asked me what was I planning to do with the flower.

'Well, I was gonna pick it', I said.

She asked me why.

'Well, because I fell in love with it', I said.

She didn't say this in English but she told me something along the lines of this quote my older self would encounter some time in the future...

"If you love a flower, don't pick it up.

Because if you pick it up,

it dies and ceases to be what you love.

So if you love a flower, let it be."

"You love that flower, right?" she asked me (not in English).

"Yes," I answered, in English.

"Do you want it to die?"

"No."

"Are you still going to pick it up?"

"Yes."

I still picked the flower.
