"So you'll tolerate it on another date?"

Start from the beginning

"You alright, Rivers?" Calum questions, noticing her being a little off.

"I guess we'll find out," Fiona teases, "So where we heading off to or am I still not allowed to know?"

Fiona has been on quite a few dates. Most of them being with Trevor. She's had walks in gardens and on beaches at sunset. She's had wine tastings and shopping extravaganzas. She's gone horseback riding and to the theatre. They were all expensive and classy and looking back, almost mind numbing. She was sure she's been to at least half of the most high class restaurants in Los Angeles and Vancouver.

"Shake Shack."

Fiona didn't think she could feel happier than eating a cheeseburger and fries on a picnic bench of a mostly empty state park with Calum. The menu was simple, the food was good, and she's been there plenty of times. It was the best place to go to at night when she had period cravings, but felt too lazy to make something. She'd go there after award shows and long days of interviews. It was the first place she went for food when she first moved in with Aria back in 2014 and was the first place she ate when she started rooming with her again this year. It was associated with a few good memories and now she could add another.

"Sorry if it's not as fancy as what you may be used to. It's just we needed some quicker food and I didn't think you wanted the paps taking pictures of our very first date," Calum says, finishing his food at a much quicker rate than Fiona.

"What did I say about telling me 'sorry' all the time, Calum? Keep it up and you might not get another date," Fiona jokes, but Calum raises his eyebrows.

"Oh my god, sorry. Totally joking, I keep forgetting I'm not funny," Fiona apologizes.

He starts to laugh at her, "No worries, love. You know, you come off as a serious actress, but so far you're, like, one of the least serious people I've ever met."

"Serious about my career, everything else isn't worth the stress," Fiona shrugs, drinking more of her chocolate churro shake.

"Well prepare yourself, Rivers, because I'm about to ask you a very serious question," Calum leans in a little when he says this.

'I'm not prepared. First date and a serious question? I can't even handle that after a year of dating,' Fiona thinks.

"What type of music do you like?"

Fiona's sigh of relief turns into a laugh. Easy question, one of her favorite questions. Although the answer threw some of her past dates off, she wasn't worried about that with Calum.

"Well I love this Australian band called, 5 Seconds of Summer. I don't know if you heard of them."

"No I haven't. Tell me what you like about 'em," He chuckles.

"Oh they're just four hot Australians who've written these bops like, Heartbreak Girl and Wildflower."

"Oh god, not Heartbreak Girl," Calum groans.

"Hey, I will not tolerate Heartbreak Girl slander on this date!" Fiona exclaims.

"So you'll tolerate it on another date?" Calum smirks.

Fiona shakes her head at him, "If you're lucky. But you if start dissing on one of the greatest 5SOS songs of all time, there won't be."

"Greatest!? Alright whatever, I'll let you off for now, Rivers. But Wildflower...what's the case here? You really like the guy singing it?" He wiggles his eyebrows at her, earning a giggle.

"There are a lot of things to like about it. You see this band is really good live. Hearing this song live, is an experience like no other," She clicks her tongue playfully, "You just wouldn't understand."
