ONE || You Have to Be Kidding

"KATSURO SHIOSHI! YOU'RE GOING to be late to your new job!" Sakari's voice boomed through, reaching their son's room.

The twenty-two year old stirred, having fallen asleep at his computer desk. He had been playing a video game with two of his childhood friends, Ryu Kigo and Stella Arcus. The game had already finished, but due to Katsuro pulling an all nighter, his body just went plop.

It then dawned on his tired brain that this was his first day for the job. Cursing underneath his breath, he dressed into new clothes, put on his glasses, and made his way downstairs.

Katsuro looked a lot like Sakari, except that he had blue hues. He even inherited the blond streaks of Sakari's on his bangs. 

Sakari and their wife had just finished making breakfast when Katsuro came dashing down.

"Morning, moms!" he smiled, giving them both hugs.

"Morning, Katsuro." Shisui smiled, giving his son a kiss on the cheek. "Do be quick on eating or you'll be late."

"I know, I know." Katsuro groaned, mostly towards himself. He ate the steamed rice quickly before going back upstairs to brush his teeth. "IloveyouMomandMother, I'llbeback!"

And with that, he closed the door behind him, leaving his moms standing there on shock. Sakari then found themselves chuckling. "...Gosh, he reminds me of myself when I first started out at the academy."

"That's true, but I'm sure he'll do great. He's been wanting to work at the agency ever since he'd heard of Mamoru's hard work." Shisui smiled, holding his partner close. "His love for research and helping others comes from both of us."

"That it does! I do hope his first day will go well." Sakari ran their finger over their wife's ring. "Even if Mamoru can be a bit stern, he does care about those he works with like they're his own family."

Shisui hummed in response, prior to hearing his phone ring. "Oh, lemme go get that!" he picked it up and saw it was the Kigo family. "Hello?"

"Hey, Shisui." Kaijosa's voice came through the phone. Due to the advances in technology, the phones looked a lot like the tablets on Tigoris, so her face was in view. "Ryu wanted to let you guys know that xe and Stella plan to visit Katsuro soon."

"Oh! Katsuro just went to go to his first job as a detective." Shisui explained. "Perhaps after?"

"Yeah that works. Actually, I think my son and Stella have signed up for that same job. ...It's with Mamoru, right?"

"Mhm. I didn't know they signed up for the job, too. I wish them luck."

"I do, too. They've heard of the stories Taoyaka and Kagami have done with their investigations and that inspired them." Kaijosa chuckled, brushing a strand of her hair back. "Anyways, is Sakari there?"

"Yeah, they are." Shisui looked over at Sakari, who just finished with the dishes. He waved his wife over.

"Mx. Aerial said that it's important, but didn't state what for." Kaijosa voiced and the blue-haired woman handed the phone to Sakari.

"Hey, Kaijosa. What did Aerial say exactly?" Sakari wondered, confusion and a hint of worry on her features. 

"Well, she tried her best to explain before seeing Bahati to her archery practice, but I think we have another hero."

Sakari's hues broadened at the news. "Okay, I will be there as soon as possible. Is she in the meeting room now?"

"Yes, she is, as is Wind, Miki, Fira, and Aoi." Kaijosa voiced. "We'll see you soon."
