Normani sat in the passenger seat of her father's car, her body was turned to the right as she faced the window. She watched the raindrops fall, watching everything they passed by and it sort of resembled her life. As if life just passed her by, sometimes slow and steady and sometimes super fast. Regardless, life was kicking her ass.
She could hear the sound of the windshield wipers and the low gospel music that came from her dad's radio. She knew those two sounds would be the only thing she heard this entire ride, he wouldn't talk to her. That may have been a blessing in disguise though, she didn't have much to say to the pastor anyways. She decided on giving him the silent treatment. He didn't mind because he decided he wouldn't be speaking to her either.
Though most of her rage stemmed from him, it also stemmed from herself. She shouldn't have even asked Megan to come.
"You're so goofy!" Normani said in between giggles, breaking the silence, Megan sent her a playful shrug before smiling at her. She couldn't resist Megan's smile, who could? A face eating grin took over as their their eyes met.
With no hesitation, Megan leaned in and Normani almost met her halfway but she instantly pulled back due to hearing the bell on top of the door at the ice cream shop.
Normani felt guilt building at the pit of her stomach, instantly looking down at the cup of cold treat in her hand. A sigh left Megan's lips before looking at bee own ice cream, pushing her spoon around before looking back up. "So I'm goofy? Coming from the girl who just got ice cream all over her face."
Normani rolled her eyes before sucking her teeth. "It was just a little bit, Megan. Don't be mean."
"I'm not being mean, brat." Megan playfully argued as Normani casually stuck her spoon into Megan's cup, trying to get a taste of her mint chocolate chip, the same flavor she called gross when Megan ordered it.
"I'm not a brat, I'm just not letting you tease me" She responding whilst nodding her head as if that made her statement more accurate.
"And why is that? You tease me all the time." Megan smirked earning a blush from Normani whilst she licked her spoon free of Megan's ice cream.
"You're something."
"You're everything."
Normani looked down at her lap and Megan just knew her cheeks were burning up per usual.
"What do I have to do for a kiss?"
It was silent for a moment, Megan could see her unintentionally look around before turning to look back at her. That stung a little but still, Megan ignored the pang her heart felt every time Normani did something of that sort.
"Just be you." Normani mumbled, pulling Megan's shirt and bringing their lips to union.
Normani smiled for a brief moment, gazing her index & middle finger down her lips. She could still feel Megan's lips on her, that was the last kiss they shared and she craved one. She needed it.

Megan licked her lips with eager as she watched Robyn spark the blunt, she wasn't the biggest stoner but every once while, she indulged. She figured she needed it more than ever. This could be her key to a temporary peace of mind."Okay, 3 puffs then pass." Robyn instructed he as if she didn't know any better, Megan rolled her eyes as she was handed the blunt but accepted it gratefully.
"So you went to church for Normani?" Solána quizzed, a hint of amusement laced in her voice. The tallest of the three exhaled the smoke, answering with a nod of head causing her best friend to laugh a little. "Never seen that coming."
