Chapter 23- fatal words pt 1

I sat on the counter in the dorms kitchen while Katsuki cooked us some 'healthy food' "is it done yet?" "Be patient you fucking dumbass" "ugh just hurry up" I whined for the like, 20th time "maybe if you'd shut the fuck up I'd cook faster" a groan left my lips as I sat impatiently while drumming with my hands on my thighs.

Maybe 10 minutes later, Katsuki finished cooking and made us both a plate before grabbing my hand and leading me back upstairs, leaving food for everyone else. "Are we gonna play more Minecraft or are you still sensitive about that creeper?" I asked once we were inside and sat on the floor next to his bed. "Tch,  fuck that fucking creepy bitch. Yeah let's play" I grabbed the controller and started up our world while Katsuki turned the music we had playing back on.

I spent all weekend in 'Suki's room, we played games, did homework and just talked. I had a lot of fun just being peaceful with him. It's Monday morning now and I'm walking from Kat's room to mine, this being the first time I've gone there since I went to his room that night. A small sigh left my lips as I shut the door behind me, I looked over to my bed and saw the sheets that were once neatly placed on the bed now strewn around it, my dresser that was once even now turned slightly, and almost everything in my closet and drawers splayed around "damn night terrors" I mumbled before grabbing my uniform and changing quickly before grabbing my bag. I had already showered and brushed my teeth after going on a morning run with 'Suki so I just grabbed my shoes and went downstairs.

"Pebble!"  I turned around to almost be knocked over by my adorable boyfriend "sharky!" I said happily and hugged him before I fell. He let out an adorable chuckle I somehow missed "I missed you baby! Where have you been??" My smile faltered slightly  'how fucked, I completely forgot about my boyfriend!' "I'm sorry mi amor, I've just been having a rough couple of days and I was with Katsuki almost all weekend" I confessed, as if it was a bad thing "Bakubro? Why?" His face looked confused but his eyes held betrayal.

I sighed and pulled him over to a corner for more privacy "me and 'Suki went through the same thing, we were both kidnapped and held up in that bar, he's the only one who understands how I'm feeling without me having to say it because he feels it too" suddenly, my golden retriever turned into a Pitt bull "what? So I don't understand how you feel?" "What? That's not what I'm saying Ei! Kat is like my best fucking friend! We went through something that we almost didn't make it out of, he just understands differently than everyone else." "No, he's my best fucking friend, and both him and my girlfriend have been hanging out behind my back!" His words made me angrier than I'd realized "you know what? Fuck you Kirishima Eijrou!" I screamed, using my quirk without realizing "no fuck you! Do you realize how much it killed me when you were taken? I couldn't do shit when you were ripped away from me! But no, only Katsuki understands right?" He chuckled dryly " you know what, give me a call when you realize you're my fucking girlfriend and not his!" He yelled in my face before walking off.

His words felt like venom in my heart as they replayed over and over in my head, why couldn't he just understand? He wasn't there. None of them were. They didn't get kidnapped we did! We have to live with this forever, not him. I know it hurt him, hell I hurt him, but it's not that simple anymore. Nothing is.

I walked into class and immediately had Jirou switch spots with me so I was next to Katsuki, he gave me a concerned look when he noticed the red lining my under eyes but I just shook it off and mouthed a quick 'later' before turning my attention back to dad who had walked in and started todays lesson.

Once the bell rang for lunch I walked straight out of the classroom with Katsuki on my tail. I sat by myself in the back of the lunch room before Katsuki sat next to me "what did he do?" I looked up and met his crimson eyes "I don't know what you're talking about" I looked back down and took a bite of food "bullshit. You're ignoring him like the plague and you're eyes were red like you were gonna cry when you walked into class. Plus you swapped seats with earphones. So I'll ask again, what. Did. He. Do." I let out a long sigh knowing I wouldn't win this and told Katsuki everything that happened this morning.

Katsuki took a moment to digest what I had said before he nodded swiftly "I'm going to fucking kill him" "what? 'Suki no. You can't just kill him" "yeah and why not? Clearly his got more hair than brains because he's acting like a fucking prick and I'm going to beat it out of him."  I shook my head "please don't Kat, I honestly get where he's coming from, he couldn't do anything when we were taken and since then I've been practically ignoring him because I don't know how to approach him" "no, don't fucking do that." I looked at him in confusion "don't go blaming yourself for him being a dumbass. He has no right to be upset right now." I let out what felt like the 80th sigh, tears finding my eyes again "maybe he's right though, I've been acting like a shitty partner Katsuki, he doesn't deserve that." I felt arms wrap around me tightly "you aren't a shitty partner. He is."

I covered my eyes as the tears finally slipped past the barrier I'd put up "I'm going to kill him for making my bestfriend cry" I heard Katsuki mumble before he kissed my head gently. I let out a small watery giggle "you finally admitted I'm your bestfriend" I said while wiping my tears away "Tch, just shut up dumbass. And don't you dare go crying over some shitty extra!" I giggled again and shook my head slightly "alright Kats."

After lunch we had hero training with uncle Might and he decided we'd be doing one on one battles again. I sat with my hero costume on next to Katsuki and 'Toshi, who I hadn't really spoken to in a while. "Alright! Our first opponents are!" Uncle Might said as he drew two names "ah! Young Bakugou and young Kirishima! Please step up children" I let out a small groan "oh no" I mumbled as both boys went into the arena.

"Alright! I want a good, clean match! Quirks are allowed, the first person to knock the other out or get them out of bounds wins! Go!" I saw Kirishima's eyes fill with hate while Katsuki's filled with malice "he's going to kill him" I whispered to no one. Katsuki smirked "I'm going to fucking murder you Eijrou" Kirishima grinned "not if I kill you first Katsuki!" After those words, a bell rung, and the fight began.
