I was flying through the air, slitting the back throats of the titans. That's when my gear started acting weird. I tumbled to the ground.

"Dammit!" I cursed.

A Titan stood above me, smiling. It grabbed me in its hands. I sliced its finger and took that opportunity to jump on its arm. I ran quickly up to its shoulder then slit its neck. It fell to the ground as did I. I stood up and kept running.

"Y/n! Are you okay?!" A voice called.

It was Eren. Followed by, Mikasa and Armin.

"I'm fine!" I called back.

What they didn't know was that my gear wasn't working, but I didn't want to slow them down. Besides, I won't lose to them.

I saw another Titan. It was eating a person. That's when I realized that... We're the same. They eat people, we eat animals. Even so, we want to fight. That's why they must die, for the sake of humankind.

My thoughts were interrupted by a girl whooping as she killed the titans.

"Cadet y/n, what the hell are you doing down there?!" A voice yelled.

It was Levi. I simply smiled.

"Nothing, sir!" I shouted before continuing to run.

Does she want to get killed?! Why isn't she using her gear?! I watched as she dropped her gear, everything but her swords. She must really be crazy! Wait, why didn't I think of this before?! Her gear's malfunctioning!

I kept on running. There was one of them behind me now. It had the ugliest of faces. My eyes widened. That's the one that killed my mom.

I was burning with rage. I'll kill him! I stopped running allowing it to grab me. Then, I stabbed it in the eye and ran up its arm.

"Die!" I yelled before slitting the back of its throat. Tears streamed down my face. I won't lose to them!

As I fell from the sky, I closed my eyes. At least if I die, it won't be by the hands of the titans.

"Open your eyes, idiot." A voice said.

I opened my eyes to met sky grey ones. Levi?!

"W-what are you doing?!" I exclaimed as my cheeks heated up.

"Tch. Saving you." He replied with a click of his tongue.

I'm flying with Levi?! I looked down. We're so high up!

"Don't look down, moron." Levi insisted before pulling me closer to him.

His hand is... On my waist?! My face turned a bright red. I'm flying...with Levi.
