Matt’s P.O.V

After arriving back from lunch, I saw that Valary was still in the same position she had been when Charlotte and I had first left.

She saw that I was alone and stared to walk over. She asked, with a not-so-subtle hint of hostility in her voice, “what do you think you’re doing bringing her on tour?”

I laughed, “I told you before, it’s not her, she’s Charlotte and she has more rights than you to be here.”

“How Matt? HOW? I don’t understand.” She was shouting.

“Yes you do, I love her and you are an abomination.”

“You love her, after less than a week?” She looked shocked.

“Yes, it seems a little crazy but have you ever heard of love at first sight?”

“Yes, Matt. And I experienced it, with YOU!” I felt a wave of guilt hit my body.

I stopped walking and turned around. “Val,” I spoke softly, “I loved you too. But what you did can never be undone. How can I possibly love you now, after how you betrayed me?”

“Matt,” she whispered, getting closer to my face, “I’m sorry.”

Just as she said that, I heard the guys calling for me and I pulled away from her mesmerising grasp.

If Charlotte saw that, she would be so angry. I had to try and avoid Val at all costs. I didn’t want to be with her anymore, and I think that Charlotte needed a little convincing.

Charlotte’s P.O.V

We walked round the corner to see Matt and Val alone. I felt anger surge through my body. He loved me now. She had no right to try and take him away from me.

I smiled at him and allowed him to come closer and fully kiss me.

As he pulled away, I caught a glimpse of Val in the corner of my eye.

She ran forward and started pulling on my hair. With one swing, I punched her in the face.

With that, Matt and Johnny were prying us apart. I felt Matt’s muscular arms wrap around my body and forcefully pull me away, shielding me from any further blows.

“You bitch!” She shrieked. “You have no idea what you have stolen from me.”

I dismissed her comment and turned to Matt.

“What did she say to you?”

“Nothing, she didn’t say anything.” I knew that she had. I raised an eyebrow in an effort to express this.

“Later.” He whispered. That word made me laugh now.

He could tell that I was angry with his comment. He sighed, “let’s take a walk.”

“She basically said to me what she said to you.” Matt started.

“Thought we were talking about this later?”

“If we do, I won’t be able to stop thinking about you on stage.”

I smiled.

“And, you’re going to keep your hands to yourself in the future? You have to remember that she’s pregnant.”

“Yes, in fact, I’ll apologise to her…later.” I said wearily. I really didn’t want to but what I said to Matt about being the bigger person was circling my head.

“You know what, My Chemical Romance are about to go on stage. I better get back. Will you stand in the side lines and watch me?”

I nodded playfully.

“Come on, I love you.” He said as he took my hand and stood me up.

“And I love you.”

“Hi, I’m Mikey, and you are?”

“Oh, sorry! I’m just daydreaming, I’m Charlotte!” I said in a cheery tone.

“You’re Matt’s new girlfriend?” I nodded. I couldn’t believe that Mikey Way had just approached me.

“How long have you been touring with Avenged Sevenfold?”

“This is my first night, actually.” I responded shyly.

“Really? Well you’re about to have an amazing night. They’re awesome!”

I smiled as the lights went down for the familiar opening that I had encountered at the concert in Toronto.

I loved the guys, they were amazing. Especially Matt, I was really starting to appreciate how lucky I was. It was obvious that he was something special as Valary wanted him back so much.

“A word of caution,” Mikey started again, I had completely forgotten that he was there.

“Watch out for Valary, she seems suspicious. And before you guys came in, she was trying to cosy up to Matt.”

“Really?” I questioned.

“Yeah, and if I’m completely honest, he didn’t seem to be trying to stop it either.”

I looked at Matt on stage in shock. He had seemed so sincere but now I was beginning to see him in a new light. I needed to be alone for a while.

I retreated back to our room in dismay.

Matt’s P.O.V

I looked over to the wing where Charlotte had been standing at the beginning of the song. She had now gone. We were thankfully on our last song of the night. I just wanted it to be over.

As we finished up, I walked off stage and asked Valary what she had said to Charlotte.

“Nothing,” she replied, “but she clearly isn’t worth it if she hasn’t stayed around to see you finish her first show in tour.

“Shut up.” I said flatly to Val as I dismissed her and walked to our room. I knew that was where she would be. She liked her privacy.

As I expected, when I walked into the room, she was sitting on the bed.

The thing that concerned me was that she was crying.

“Go away.” She immediately spoke.

“What, honey? What’s wrong?” I took her hands and enclosed them in mine.

“You know exactly what’s wrong Matt! You let her move in on you? Why? I thought you understood how this felt.” At this, I let go. After seeing how hard she could punch, I didn’t want to make her any more angry.

“I’m afraid that I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Matt was evidently lying through his teeth. She had now pulled her hands away from me. She looked as though I repulsed her.

“When you were talking to her, before we came around the corner earlier.”

“Charlotte, she tried something but it didn’t work, I pushed her away. Please don’t let her come in between us!”

“Matt, I’m not even sure if I should be here anymore.”

I just looked stunned. I was starting to agree with her. If being here made her so unhappy, then I wanted her as far away as possible, as long as she was happy. I expressed this to her but she shrugged me off her.

“I need some time to think.”

I nodded, visibly hurt by what she had just said.

She stood up and left the room, and probably the area. I started to wonder, is this it? It our relationship over? I really hoped that it wasn’t.
