Finally Safe

It was 9 at night, and the loud music of Prom Night had already filled the entire atmosphere of the University. But on the rooftop of Seagull National University, there was pin-drop silence. Jungkook was lying on the rooftop floor, trying to catch his breath while hugging Taehyung tightly, who lay unconscious on his chest.

Sang, Jee-min, Naam-gil, and Jin watched them without blinking, fear overflowing in their eyes. Tears had already begun to fall from Jin's eyes as he imagined what could have happened if they had arrived just a few seconds late. He covered his mouth with his hand to control his sobbing.

"Bunny, Tae is safe now. You successfully saved him. Please leave him to us and get up from the floor. Your foot is badly injured-blood is continuously dripping from it," Sang said to his little brother, worry heavy in his voice.

"Sang is absolutely right. Bunny, you can't lift him, and you can't carry him to the car because of your foot. Leave him to us and try to get up slowly," Naam-gil said in a calm yet serious tone, clearly concerned for both Jungkook and Taehyung.

"Okay, Hyung," Jungkook replied.

Naam-gil carefully lifted Taehyung in a bridal style from Jungkook's chest, and Jee-min helped his best friend stand up slowly.

"Oh my God, Bunny! Your foot is bleeding so much-how will you walk to the car?" Jee-min asked in a trembling voice.

"Don't worry, Chimmy. I'll carry him to the car," Sang replied instantly.

"Hyung, you don't need to worry about me. I'm fine now," Jungkook murmured.

"Please don't argue with me, Bunny. I'm not in the mood to argue," Sang said firmly.

Jungkook sighed in defeat. Sang then lifted him in a bridal style, and Jee-min picked up Jungkook's phone from the floor. After that, they all started walking towards the car.

"Hoon, call Dr. Chan and tell him to come to our house immediately. It's urgent. We're coming, and don't worry-Bunny and Taehyung are both out of danger now." After saying that, Jin ended the call. But then his eyes fell on the stairs, widening in shock. Blood drops had fallen all over the stairs from Jungkook's injured foot, along with bloody footprints made while running to the rooftop.

Jin quickly removed the top part of his pajama suit and began wiping the blood from the stairs. He didn't want anyone discovering the incident-it could create serious problems for both boys in the future.

"Oh my God, Hyung! What are you doing?" Jee-min asked, confused, when he saw Jin wiping the steps with his pajama top.

"I'm removing all the evidence of this cruel incident. I don't want Taehyung or our Bunny to face any problems in the future because of tonight," Jin replied, looking straight into Jee-min's eyes.

Everyone stopped walking after hearing him. Jee-min slipped his phone into his boyfriend's pajama pocket, then began removing the top part of his own pajama suit.

"What are you doing?" Sang asked, confused.

"I'm helping Jin Hyung," Jee-min replied. He removed his suit top and carefully wrapped it around his best friend's foot to stop the bleeding. "It's done. Now no one will know what actually happened here."

"Good job, Chimmy. Now let's go," Naam-gil said.

They headed towards their car, parked at the backside of the University. Mr. James Miller, a security guard who had once worked in the Park Mansion as a gardener 4 years ago, had agreed to help them without hesitation-thanks to Jin, who had helped him get this job.

Within minutes, they reached the car safely, unnoticed by anyone.

Jin opened the door and Sang placed Jungkook in the back passenger seat. Jee-min sat beside him. Naam-gil gently placed the unconscious Taehyung inside; his head rested on Jungkook's lap, and Jungkook softly combed his hair with his fingers. Taehyung's legs rested on Jee-min's lap. Jin closed the door.

"Jin, go with Sang. I'll drive this car," Naam-gil said.

"Okay," Jin replied.

Naam-gil started the engine, and within seconds the car was headed towards the Park Mansion.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Miller, for helping us. Without you, we couldn't have left unnoticed," Jin said, holding the older man's hand with both of his.

"Don't thank me, Mr. Park. It's my pleasure. You have helped me and my family so much-it's my turn now. By the way, is that the boy who ranked first in the University? What happened to him?" Mr. Miller asked curiously.

"Yes. He's Taehyung. But today, he was betrayed by his own best friend and went to the rooftop to... end everything. Thankfully, we reached on time and saved him. He's unconscious, so we're taking him to our house. The doctor is already on his way," Jin explained briefly.

"Oh my God... Thank goodness you saved him. We would have lost such a bright student. Mr. Park, if you ever need anything from me in the future, please tell me without hesitation," Mr. Miller said warmly.

"Of course, Mr. Miller. Can I ask for one more favour?" Jin asked with hopeful eyes.

"Just say it, Mr. Park," he replied.

"I already removed the blood stains on the way to the rooftop. But I forgot to clean the blood from the rooftop floor. Can you please remove it for us?" Jin asked in a pleading tone.

"Of course. Don't worry, after the party ends, the University will close for a week. If anything is left behind, I'll clean everything. Now go home-you'll catch a cold," Mr. Miller said with a warm smile.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Miller. Bye, take care," Jin said with a weak smile.

"You too. Take care of yourself and the kids," Mr. Miller replied.

"Let's go, Hyung," Sang said.

"Hmm," Jin answered.

They bowed to each other, and then Sang and Jin got into their car and headed towards the same destination as the others.

Naam-gil drove carefully, occasionally checking the mirror. Jungkook was still combing Taehyung's hair with his fingers, his eyes closed. Jee-min stared at his best friend without blinking. With his tired eyes shut, Jungkook began recalling everything that had happened in the past few hours.
