The Monster Ambassador, Frisk Dreemurr. The amount of shit I now know about him is kinda embarrassing, to say the least. It's like I was stalking him. Which, yeah, I did, but not with any ill intent. At least. I don't think I did. My contractor though? Very bad guy. Yeah, I have no doubt the sixty million bucks I have stashed is dirty money.

Why, though? Why did he want me to target the Monster Ambassador, of all people? Did I do something wrong? Should I have refused? But that's Sixty Million Bucks! Come on, I can't keep thinking about this...

I take a long shower and dress up to go to the bar below my apartment. With my door locked and some cash stashed in my cleavage, I take the elevator downstairs and go down the cemented stairs. I knock a few times and wait for the steel door to open. A familiar buff man answers the door, "Angel! How's it been, hun? You've been in your hidey hole for some time now." He opens the door for me and lets me inside.

"Ah, well," I chuckle quietly, "I've been...thinking about things."

Buff man—Tye—goes around to his spot behind the bar and picks up an empty glass, "That sounds like a drink-and-tell kinda story." The bar is empty tonight, so why not?

"Yeah, sure, I got the money," I shrug.

Dirty money. Bad money. Money I earned.

Shit, this is all so...confusing.

Tye just nods and doesn't question how I got money because he knows I'm usually broke. I continue, "In fact, I got so much money I could probably pay my tab! How much do I owe ya, plus the drink?" He hums and looks up with a pondering frown, "Around a few thousand? I don't remember the exact amount."

I pull out $10,000 from my inventory and slam it on his bar, "How's about ten grand and tonight's drinks are free?" Tye chokes when I take out the wad of cash and slams the glass down, "Where the hell—?! Did you become a hooker or something?! How'd you get this much in just a few months?!" I push the money toward him, but he doesn't grab for it yet.

"...worked for it," I shrug after a moment. "Doesn't matter, just take it."

"I...okay." Tye takes the money and slips it away under the bar, "Are you in trouble, babe? You know you can hide out here anytime."

"I-I did something wrong, I think?" I hug myself and rub my arms, "Illegal. Well, that's nothing new...I don't know what to do, but I know I can't reverse what I did."

"Hun, look," Tye walks around the counter to sit next to me. He wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me close so I'm tucked under his chin. "You're twenty-one. I don't care about the illegal things you've done. You come in here so often and drink, but I honestly don't give a damn. I drank when I was younger than you are now. Whatever you did, it's probably not as bad as you think."

"I hacked into the Monster Ambassador's profile and sold his information to a shady person who gave me sixty million dollars."

The sentence leaves in such a rush that I almost run out of breath. I shit my eyes and hunch over the bar, leaning away from Tye. He mumbles to himself, "Oh shit. Oh shit."

"I know I shouldn't have now, but it's too late, I think..." I say to him, for some reason.

"No, you...I think you should stay here for a while," Tye pulls me back to his chest. "You...you haven't been followed? Nobody's tried to hurt you?" I shake my head, "I've been in my apartment this whole time."

He lets out a tired sigh, "Okay...that's good, that's...good. When did you do this? Was it March?"

I nod and pull away, confused, "How'd you know...?"

"Haven't been listening to the news? The Monster Ambassador was kidnapped!"

Kidnapped...

Taken?

He was...

He's missing...?

"He's been," I freeze up. "Has he been found...?"

"No," Tye admits quietly. "It's...you didn't know—."

"Don't make excuses for me!" I jump away from Tye, "Shit! I got somebody fucking kidnapped! Fuck!" I go for the door, but Tye grabs my arm and stops me.

"Wait," he shouts. "What're you going to do?"

"I dunno!? Find him!" I yank my arm out of his grasp, "Damn it! Fuck the money, I didn't want this to happen, Tye! I shouldn't have...fuck!" I yank the door open and run out, Tye shouting for me to wait. I don't bother with the elevator and run up the steps to the third floor, where my room is.

I jab my key into the doorknob and the door swings open.

From the inside.

I'm yanked in before I can even process how someone got into my apartment, and the door shuts in front of me once I'm inside.

Someone covers my eyes and mouth, but it isn't a human hand...I grasp their forearm with one of my hands, more out of fear than to try and wrestle them away, and feel bone.

"Now listen here, sweetheart," a voice next to my ear growls, low and dangerous. "I'm gonna let you go. Don't scream, don't fuss, and you won't get hurt. Alright?" I nod slowly, and the huge hand around my face pulls away just as slow. I roll forward and press my back against the door, eyes narrowed at the darkness. Two pairs of eyes meet mine—a red pair and a white pair. There's a third person, they aren't facing me though, and they're on my computer typing away.

"What are you doing to my computer...?" I slowly stand up, the red pair of eyes staring me down while the white pair looks away.

"We're looking for something to help us find the ambassador. You know, the one you got kidnapped?" The owner of the white eyes is the one to speak, "We're not here for you, though. Just let us do this and we'll be on our way."

"It'll take a while," the red eyes drawls lowly. "Why don't you take a seat...?"

"I don't think I—."

I'm interrupted by a phone ringing. My phone. I tense up, letting it ring, until the one typing stops clicking away and the white eyes suggests, "You should probably answer that."

I move toward where the light switch is and, when nobody moves to stop me, I flick it on. The full light provides at least some vision, and I blink at the now visible trio of Monsters. They're monster skeletons, and they're all in some sort of casual wear. The one on my gaming chair is in an orange pull-over hoodie—and him and the other two all seem to be wearing the same sort of gym shorts—and pink slippers. Red eyes is sitting on the edge of my bed, black jacket over a red shirt and black and white sneakers. White eyes is standing by the doorway, but a few feet away from me, white a blue jacket over his white shirt.

I reach into my pocket and look at the caller id. I sneer when it says 'No Caller ID' again. I answer the phone and put it on speaker, "Hubert Gaunt?"

The same voice from a few months ago answers, "Nice to know you're still alive."

I furrow my brows in mild confusion and ask, "You expected me to die...? Why?" I look up the trio of skeletons, expecting them to be the reason, but they don't give anything away with their neutral expressions.

"Well," Hubert chuckles, "what you did for me was no small feat. I expected your little friends to find you sooner than they did, but alas..."

That gets the Monsters to shift a bit, passing alarmed glances to one another.

"What are you talking about? You mean..."

"Yes, I know about your little friends...well, I guess we should call them trespassers, hm?"
