"Mitch? Biggums is it really you?"
I scoffed slightly, tilting my head up to look at him. "Does it look like it's me?"
A small smile played on his face before he was shoved to the side, a worried looking Seto replacing him.
"Mitch. Where's Adam? We know you two were together."
I shrugged nonchalantly. "Don't know, don't care. Dropped him off by a tree and drove off. Can't go around with deadweight in the back of my car now can I?"
There was a collective sound of gasps as Seto's hand slid over his mouth.
"Don't tell me you left Adam, who might as well be on the verge of death, on the side of the road to fend for himself."
My shoulders lifted and fell lazily once again. "Can't save him anyways. Might as well leave him."
Seto bit his lip and sighed. "There's something definitely wrong with him. There's no question."
"Maybe the dark sorcerer did something to him?" Ian chimed in, walking into view. Oh hey, didn't know there were more people.
"Could've been him. After all, Mitch's parents did say the dark sorcerer killed Connor."
No. That's wrong. He didn't kill him. He made me kill him.
"Should we see if that's the case Seto?" Devin asked, walking up as well.
Wait. Where's Quirren?
I shifted my head again and took note of the little blonde in the back seat of the car.
When I turned back to Seto, both he and Devin were muttering under their breaths.
It shocked me for a moment, but when they stopped, they seemed like the ones who were shocked.
"Mitch? Feel any different?" Devin asked cautiously.
I shook my head, leaning against the wall once more. "Nope. Same old, same old."
A groan from Jerome later everyone starts to talk at once, asking me questions and talking to each other.
Too many voices. Too many questions. I can't take this. It's too much.
My hands moved over my ears and my fingers locked them there, anchoring in my hair.
It's too much. They think he killed him. They think I'm possessed.
Then the words spilled out before I had a chance to realize they were coming.
"I killed Connor."
(Gosh I'm sorry it's short. Hopefully I can get my head together and make these chapters longer soon)
