"Okay. "My brother replied, making me the last one to get up. "What shall we cook? "
"'We'll cook? "Emphasizing the latter "You and Shoto almost burned the house down last time.
"It wasn't that bad... I mean, the house is still there. "I questioned
"But, if you don't let us help you, we'll never learn, Yumi! Right, Sho? " Leaning on my shoulder, while nodding.
"I want to learn to cook,' I said shyly. Although I still didn't inform them that I wanted to do it for my boyfriend, I couldn't help but feel the temperature on my face rise. I want to surprise him, although it would be very difficult to impress such a good cook as him.
"If they insist so much... "I let out a sigh, resigned.
We were at the entrance of the place when Fuyumi noticed something.
"Natsu, where is the basket we brought? "My brother began to search effusively for the object that, evidently, he didn't have. My sister just snorted, with a disapproving expression towards him.
"I can go get it. "I said to Natsuo "I'll be back in a moment; you guys can wait for me in the cautious. "I announced, as my brother looked at me in relief.
Soon after, fine snowflakes began to fall. While both of us had some resistance to the cold, I could regulate my temperature easily, so it was a good decision after all.
Our brother's grave was just before the center of the shrine. The environment was of monochromatic colors, with grays and whites standing out over the scarce number of colors, while the trees, whose leafless branches made them skeletal, looked like guardians of those who lay there, giving the place a mystical air, thanks to the hanging lamps, and a somewhat somber one, because of the irregular shadows they created.
However, among all that panorama, one figure stood out from the rest, and then everything happened very quickly.
He was there, crouched down. He had a dark hood covering him, and he was looking at the grave where Fuyumi, Natsuo and I had been a few minutes ago. Next to him, there was still the basket. At the time, I thought he was some visitor whose attention was caught by the incense smoke, until part of his arm was visible under his sleeve, revealing a kind of laceration.
He had not yet become aware of my presence, but from where I was standing, I could see a profile that would be impossible for me to mistake, and as he stood up, when a blizzard pushed back his hood, I could confirm that it was him.
It was the villain who had kidnapped Katsuki.
My heart was pumping blood at full capacity, and at one point I thought about attacking, though I had to keep my mind cool so as not to desecrate this sacred place.
Even the snowflakes that, I suppose, came in contact with my skin, were imperceptible to me.
Thousands of ideas raced through my mind as I stood there, static. How many more of them would be there? Would they be hiding somewhere or in the process of doing something? Would I be alone?
I was too stumped and had to think fast.
However, the most important question clashed with my common sense: what the hell was he doing there?!
Why would he expose himself and in a place like this, right in front of my brother's grave, in this weather? Would he have been watching us?
The sound of a falling branch forced him to look in my direction and, for a few seconds, dimly illuminated, I could see that, from his face, drops of... blood?
