The series of unpredictable events

Chapter 23

Marinette P.O.V.

I got off the train and looked around. I've never been to London before. I got into a cab, and we drove towards Felix's address.

We stopped infront of a huge, beautiful house. This had to be it. I got out, and walked up to the door. I rung the doorbell.

A women answered the door. Felix's mother. "Can I help you?" She asked. "I'm looking for Felix." I told her, "I'm a friend."

Felix's mother looked at me in confusion. "Felix is in Paris." She told me, "he was planning on coming home the other day, but something changed his mind." Felix was still in Paris? How did Adrien not know about this?

I said goodbye to Felix's mother and walked away from the door as it shut behind me. I glanced at Tikki. Something wasn't right.

I entered a nearby restaurant and sat down. I immediately called Adrien. After a couple rings, he answered.

"Did you talk to Felix?" Was the first thing he asked. I shook my head. "His mother said that he never left Paris." I told him. "She said that something changed his mind and he decided to stay." Adrien looked at me in shock.

"Marinette. I got a text from him saying that he made it home safe and his mom says hi.." he told me. This wasn't good. Something was definitely wrong.

We planned to meet up once I got back to Paris. We hung up, and I headed back to the train station. I kept on trying to call Felix. He wasn't answering. Something was wrong. And I had to figure out what. I tried calling y/n a couple times too, to tell her what we found out, but she, also, wasn't picking up.

Y/n P.O.V.

Marinette just keeps calling. I have to ignore her. Otherwise she could get hurt. I just wish that I could get her far away from harm like Felix. I bet him and his mom are happy to be together again. They've always had a special mother son connection.

My room was finally clean. Which was nice. I keep hearing noises behind the walls. Madame papillon assured me that it was just the sewer noises.

She told me that she wanted to start her first plan today. She wanted to let the people of Paris know who she was, and show them that she is a lot stronger then hawkmoth.

She doesn't want to show me off yet. Honestly I wished she would never show me off. But she said that soon, I'll be revealed.

She finally told me why I'm so essentially to her. She said that for her to be stronger, she had to feed off another life source. Making sure that I have no other connections just make her power stronger as well.

With my life source, she's able to send out a couple akumas at a time. This will, however, weaken my health. What will happen to me, will be kind of like using a broken miraculous, only much worse. What happened to Nathalie will look like child's play. Eventually, it could kill me.

I watched as madame papillon left the base, and started towards the Eiffel Tower. She would be broadcasting it all over Paris. I can watch it on the TV in the siting room.

Adrien P.O.V.

"Don't forget the popcorn!" Yelled Nino from the couch. We were about to watch a movie. I sat down, and Nino reached for the remote.

The TV flicked on before he grabbed it. "People of Paris! My name is madame papillon! The newer, and more improved hawkmoth of Paris! Ladybug, chat noir, hand over your miraculous, and we won't have a problem. Refuse? You'll have to face my akumas."

Then the screen went black again. So now I don't only have to find my cousin, but I also have to continue saving Paris? I glanced at Nino.

"I know your chat noir!" He blurted out. I knew it was only a matter of time until he found out. Now I had someone else to help me.

I smiled. "Let's watch the movie." I said. It's not like I had to save paris at this minute. And it would still be another while until Marinette would be back. So why not have fun and relax while I still could?
