The Date (Part Two)

"... and if I win, you bring me the wand"

I..... yeah, if you haven't guessed already... this trade is a high-stakes one!

I've just been sitting here in mild shock until this very moment where I was simply dropped into the most shock I've been in a good while! They... They want the WAND ITSELF?! I mean I get it to take down the barrier, but what would they use it for after that?! That thing could be dangerous if put into the wrong hands, look at the Maleficent issue we had if you want a reference! My jaw was absolutely dropped as more and more thoughts filled my racing head, most of them negative... if they get the wand and let all the villains out as well, Auradon would be in immediate danger! And if Auradon was in immediate danger... Aud could be in danger, I'd be in danger! Because the villains would be out and the barrier I'm looking to hide under would be gone! It sounds like such a selfish thought I know, but I can't help but think about my roots right now, and those roots are me and Aud. We've always had each other's back no matter what... so naturally I have to think about our safety before anything else, no one else does after all...

And of course... Mal had to blow it!

For someone who brags all the time and makes herself seem like some sort of god, she sure does mess up a lot! And this time it's major, because as Uma and Mal were arm wrestling for some reason in order to settle this, Mal's hand got shaky! I stared her down as she got wide-eyed at Uma's deal, but suddenly her glowing green eyes flickered... and with that flicker, Uma slammed Mal's hand onto the countertop... way to go little Miss I'm-Better-Than-Everyone-Else, now look what you've done!

The Chip Shop, very much including Harry, lit up with joy and enthusiasm... but I don't know what to feel! I get it, being trapped in here for your entire life has got to suck... but what about all the lives outside the barrier? And the villains that live here too, surely they're holding massive grudges towards the hero of their story! Like, oh I dunno, Maleficent has with our entire bloodline?! Look what happened when she got out! She nearly killed me just because I look like my mom! Imagine what would happen if the villains didn't just target the "heroes" per se as well, what if they targeted their kids? Aka literally what happened to me and Aud at the coronation! It would be mass pandemonium! Chaos even!

I slowly looked over to Harry... and immediately I feel bad about thinking about me and Aud first before anything else... not that I can help it but... gods he looks so happy. I wish I had the capacity to be that happy, I mean he's been at the edge of his seat the entire trade, then he launched up from his chair to cheer the moment Mal's hand hit the tabletop, and he's been just lit up with this beaming sense of happiness since! I looked up at him as he slowly sat down, the smile that I knew was hiding behind his usual exterior now completely showing. And of course, Mal looks petrified and ultimately defeated right now, especially as Uma leaned forward to talk to her a bit which I couldn't hear,

"Finally, we finally have a chance, fuck yeah"

Harry muttered as he sat back down, as for me... I think I still look as if I've seen a ghost because I'm so torn yet again! Am I happy that a wrong may ultimately be made into a right? Or should I worry immensely over the fact that if the barrier comes down both me and Aud are in great danger? Gods why do I keep getting faced with the hardest decisions possible!

"Gods that is splendid... and Mal gets ta be humbled for once in her life too, aye Bella?"

I can hear the smile in Harry's voice, but I can't even look back over to him again! I don't know what side to be on!

"Uh huh... humble Mal... yup..."

I muttered, I don't even think I'm blinking! I took a slow deep breath, hoping that I can start making sense of all this and fast! I still have to go on a date with him, don't get me wrong I wanna go on the date I just don't wanna make it awkward!
