"Oh um thanks Dario." It so weird being complimented by him. Everytime he says something flattering I feel strange. I'm used to the controlling and possessive Dario not this caring Dario. He's still an asshole though and hasn't lost any of his personality traits. The difference is he's simply less intense so I'm allowed air to breathe and free will to do certain things without a say from him. I would say it's a start but a start to what? I'm not expecting Dario to change and suddenly become my soulmate and I'm surely not expecting his newfound behavior to become any better than this.

"I'll be returning late tonight, I don't expect you to be up then." Still treats me like a child in some ways with his stupid curfews.

"Okay." With that he left.
I enjoyed a silent breakfast before heading upstairs to wake Matteo. Normally he would be up by now since his an early riser like his father. I have some business to attend to today thus the reason I'm awake much sooner than I'd like.

Upon entering the room I was surprised to see Matteo wide awake. He hadn't made a sound all morning which is why I assumed he was still asleep. He was busy playing with a few of his toys but once he noticed me standing over him the biggest smile appeared on his face as he starred at me with those eyes that I love.

"Buongiorno figlio mio"
(Good morning my son) I smiled down on him.

Dario made it clear that Matteo would be fluent in italian before anything else. Everyone who interacts with him being his grandmother, his uncle Marcel, his father and his caretaker/nanny speak to him in italian. Rafael doesn't do well with babies no surprise there so he hardly ever comes to see Matteo. I'm not complaining though. Too many psychopaths around my son at such an early age isn't what I deem best for him.

Ayana's story on Dario and his twin suddenly crossed my mind. Twin genes are usually hereditary. That means I could have gotten pregnant with twins at any given time. It seems I dodged a bullet more than once there because I can't imagine producing twins for the Don. I love my son with everything in me but I don't think I would've handled two babies just fine. Dario would've probably been alot stricter too. I don't believe I could be lucky a third time. Dario and I haven't had sex in months. It's part of my request for his little turning a new leaf journey. I doubt it will last much longer though. No matter how much or how little Dario has changed his possessive traits will never leave him. As far as he will always be concerned every bit of my body and soul belongs to him. Depriving him of touching me is like a slap to his face. Plus our wedding anniversary is nearing, I have no doubt that Dario has plans to take me in every which way on that day.
