| Chapter Song: Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Öyster Cult |
"Come on, these walls aren't gonna build themselves," Bellamy told the crowd. Everyone was bustling around the camp, trying to salvage any parts they could to make the wall higher. The higher it was, the better. While others were working on the wall, I was making arrows. I was tired of feeling weak and useless. This was not how my father raised me. He raised me to be strong, to be a leader, and while I didn't necessarily like him all the time, I was going to honor him. Honor him by winning the war, or go down with every fighting breath I had in me.
"You'd better hope those land mines work," Bellamy told Rave. "With all that gunpowder we're wasting we could be making more grenades." My eyebrows raised in surprise. There was no way Raven was going to let him get away with saying that to her.
"You wanna come over here and test one?" She barked back, and I held in a laugh.
"Cute," He mumbled sarcastically. "We need this entire section mined by morning. Ben, finish the south field."
"Hey!" Raven protested. She walked up to him and started talking to him, but I couldn't hear what she was saying. I simply resumed working on more arrows; testing each one with my bow. Suddenly, a gun went off, and I jumped up, bow loaded and ready to shoot.
"What the hell's the matter with you?" Bellamy shouted to the guy who was on post.
"I'm sorry," He stumbled over his words, "I fell asleep, I've been on watch all day."
"On your watch, all day! That bullet was one less dead Grounder!" I walked up to Bellamy and placed a hand on his arm.
"Easy there, Muscles," I told him, and he let go of the boy, still seething with anger. "You're scaring people."
"They should be scared!" He retaliated. "The bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time, is up! The Grounders are out there right now waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do. Clarke, Finn, and Monty are gone, probably dead. And if you wanna be next, I can't stop you. But no guns are leaving this camp! This camp is the only thing keeping us alive!" Everyone was silent. "Get back to work!" Bell ordered.
"Come on," I said, and grabbed his arm.
"What are we doing? Where are we going?" He asked.
"Taking a walk," I reply. "Bell, you need to calm down, okay?" He ran a hand over his face. "I know you're stressed, we all are, but yelling at them isn't going to help anything. It's just going to put more stress on them, and people break under stress. So next time, just calm down, okay?" He simply sighed in response. "Alright, that's it. You need some rest."
"I'm fine, Sunshine," He told me, but I presisted.
"Nope, you have bags under your eyes, Bellamy Blake, you're yelling at every little thing, you need sleep. Now, go into your tent, lie down, and go to sleep. Okay? I'll keep an eye on everything until you wake back up. Now shoo," I said, and pushed him off into his tent.

*Bellamy's Point of View*
There was no way in hell I was sleeping. There was too much to do. So, instead of following Orion's orders, I went into the dropship to start planning our next move. I had to be quiet though, because she was on the level above me. I was trying to ignore some sick kid when Jasper came in.
"Don't you think I want to go after them too?" I told him, making sure to keep my voice low. Jasper sighed.
"If it was you out there," He answered, "you think Monty, Clarke, or Finn would hide behind these walls?"
