Sofia Warren

I blink rapidly, sitting up quickly, sweat beads lining my forehead.

"Morning, baby," Kai smiles at me, handing me a cup of coffee.

I push his hand holding the cup away from me, "Doctor," I say quickly.

"What?"

"Doctor, now," I sputter the words out almost quicker than I'm thinking them.

"Doctor, I need to talk to a doctor," I yell, now impatient of his idiocy.

"Okay," He slowly rises, wanting me to calm down. He exits the room and I rub my forehead, then my eyes, so hard I start to see bursts of color.

I blink a few more times. The doctor comes in and shuts the door behind him, locking Kai out. I stare at Kai as he stares at me through the window. The doctor peers back and shuts the curtains, blocking all of his view of us.

"How are you feeling Ms. Warren?" The doctor asks.

"I remembered something, I had a dream, but it was a memory, from July, I remember now," I mumble.

"Okay, what did you remember?"

"A man, I met at a bar,"

"Ah yes, your boyfriend," He smiles at me, jotting some things down on a paper. I frown. No.

Why am I even with Kai? That date went so well? So what if I passed out at the end.

"It's a good thing you're starting to remember things," He pats my leg, "I'll definitely discharge you now," He grins at me, then opens the door and exits as Kai enters.

I sigh, tilting my head back and closing my eyes. Well fuck.

Maybe Kai has changed.

He has not.

Change is a foreign language to a man of poor character.

He flips the light switch on as we walk into one of his many apartments. When we were together we only came to this one twice, first time was after our first date, and the second time was a week after one of our worst fights, he trashed the apartment we normally stayed at and didn't speak to each other once for that whole week. I finally caved and apologized for what was not my fault.
