You might see a pretty girl,
With big brown eyes,
And soft brown hair,
With a happy smile
And dimples.
You might see a pretty girl,
Who wears hoodies and jeans
And t-shirts,
Who fangirls over YouTubers.
But if you looked a little further, you'd realise that
Her smile is fake,
Her eyes are lifeless and empty,
And YouTube is just a way to distract her from her life,
And beneath the clothes,
On her wrists, thighs and stomach,
Scars- new and old -lay engraved in her skin forever.
And if you were to stay long enough,
She'd tell you the story behind each scar,
But you'd just get bored and leave her.
