"Ma'am," Warm fingers touch my elbow, "Ma'am are you alright?"
My eyes slowly open, my head throbbing. An older woman hovering over me, concern paints her face. A man behind her resting his hands on his hips.
The woman helps me sit up. I raise my hand to cover the sun rays attacking my eyes, "Where am I?" I ask, my words just barely a wheeze out of my lungs. I swallow hard, feeling like there is dirt caked into my airways.
"You're in Tennessee, Parkway Trails," The man says, he takes two strides toward me and the woman and begins to help me up, "What happened to you?" He asks, observing me.
"I don't know, I don't remember," I try to trace back my steps that for some reason got me here but I don't remember much of anything.
"Whats your name?" He asks, he reaches into his pocket and dials a number.
"Sofia Warren," I look down on the clothes I am wearing. I am in hiking boots, biker shorts and a sports bra under a zip up.
The man nods and begins speaking to the person on the phone.
"Honey is this your bag?" The woman asks, walking past me, causing my head to turn and follow her. She lifts up a backpack, and inspects it.
"Ah, it is, Sofia Warren," She walks to me, showing me the tag with my name written on it. I have never been hiking before? Why do I have hiking stuff?
"Thank you, yeah," I pull the bag onto my back, "I don't remember much, I don't remember ever going hiking," I tell her honestly.
"Maybe you hit your head, sweetheart," She takes my hands in hers and looks into my eyes, then inspects my face.
"Ambulance is on the way, Ms. Warren," The man says, catching my attention, "They are going to take you to a hospital, and they said it is a good thing you remember your name at least,"

"Are you feeling any better, honey?" My nurse, Julie, walks in. She is holding a tray with food and a glass of water.
"My head feels a little better," I answer somewhat honestly. It's not pounding anymore, but it still aches. She sets the tray down and hands me the glass of water. I down it pretty quickly.
"Well, the good thing is that your boyfriend is on the way," She smiles at me, pats my arm and leaves the room.
Boyfriend? God, how much am I forgetting? He is going to be devastated I don't remember him. I don't even know what month it is.
