Evie gave her a kind but stern look, pulling her out of the car.
As Eleanor expected, many people screamed as she did so. She heard a couple people whisper wicked witch of the west or simply wicked to their friends in varying degrees of fear and disgust.
"Ben!" A girl hissed, squeezing the boys hand, "You didn't tell me you picked her!" She said that last part very quietly.
Eleanor whipped her head around, seeing a girl with light brown hair and a scared expression. The girl jumped as Eleanor made a mocking boo sort of face at her.
Her eyes then drifted to the boy on the other side of the main one; he had short brown hair that was obviously combed out very methodically, and his clothes were a strange mixture of farm boy and snobbish prince.
"Leave it like you found it! And by that I just mean leave it," a sickeningly sweet woman's voice singsonged.
They all quickly realized this voice belonged to Fairy Godmother.
"Just...cleaning up." Jay remarked, throwing all his stolen things back into the vehicle, "Get up," he added to Carlos.
"Welcome to Auradon Prep," Fairy Godmother began happily, "Ben, Audrey, and Dorian are going to show you all around. The doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from eight to eleven, and as you might have heard, I have a little thing about curfews."
The woman left quickly after that, leaving the VK's to stare after her.
The boy in the middle stepped forward, "It is so, so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben-"
"Prince Benjamin! Soon to be king!" The girl said excitedly, cutting him off.
"You had me at prince," Evie said, stepping forward, "My mom's the queen, which makes me a princess."
Evie did a little curtsy; Eleanor rolled her eyes but smiled despite herself.
"The Evil Queen has no royal power here, and neither do you," the girl-Audrey, Eleanor assumed-said with a mocking smile and laugh.
Evie retreated back to Eleanor's side, looking slightly pink in the face.
"And this is Audrey," Ben stated, sounding a slight bit aggravated now.
"Princess Audrey, his girlfriend! Right, Benny-boo?" Audrey corrected, clinging to Ben's arm.
Eleanor stared over at the other boy, who stared back at her, trying (and failing) to look calm and confident.
"This is a momentous occasion, as the day our two peoples began to heal," Ben was saying, shaking everyone's hands-getting punched in the shoulder by Jay.
When he reached Eleanor he stopped for a moment, Eleanor raising an eyebrow at him.
After a couple moments he grabbed her hand and shook it, making the green girl flinch slightly at the action of someone like him willingly shaking her hand; also hearing a muffled, "Ben!" from Audrey.
"Or the day you showed five people's where the bathrooms are," Mal mocked, making Ben turn back to her.
"A little over the top?" Ben asked, a smile still on his face.
"I told you it would sound a bit pretentious," the other boy pointed out.
"And this is Dorian, Dorthy Gail's son," Ben introduced, walking backwards to stand in his original spot.
It was at that moment that Eleanor noticed his bright red sneakers, mentally smacking herself in the face for overlooking them before.
Dorian looked back at Eleanor; there was a tense, silent moment as the two glared at each other, the others watching uncomfortably.
