CHAPTER 2
I walked through the town with my head down, my mind all over the place.
How could last night be just a dream?
It felt so real.
Everything.
He felt so real.
I couldn’t believe it.
I decided to go to every single place we visited last night.
First I went to where the gala was held.
I inquired of the people there but they told me that no one held a party there last night.
I went over to the movie theater and asked of the airings on the previous day.
There was no airing of “Klaus.”
I went over to the ice skating rink, but it was closed.
I grew frustrated, sad and disappointed.
Finally I went over to the giant Christmas tree.
It was still there.
Of course it was.
There was no way my sub consciousness will make that up.
I sat down where we supposedly sat last night, I mean in my dream.
I couldn’t believe it. Last night was just a dream.
Everything we did together, everything I felt, it wasn’t real.
Tears rolled down my eyes, but I quickly wiped them away.
I couldn’t be crying right now. It was Christmas day for goodness sake.
Right?
I sighed.
Nothing could fill the hole in my heart right now.
“Um….excuse me Miss. Can you please tell me where I can find Arabella's café?”
I stood up.
“Oh it’s right down the….road.”
It was him.
I knew it was.
He was standing right in front of me, staring at me with those eyes of his.
Those striking blue eyes.
“Um….I….”
I shook my head, there’s no way he could remember me.
There’s no way he’d even know me.
“You just go straight and you’ll see it. Anyway I have to go.”
I start to walk away when suddenly I was pull back.
“Wait.” I looked down at his hand on my arm.
“This might sound crazy, but I think I’ve met you before.” He said hesitantly.
I shook my head, my heart aching.
“I don’t think so.”
“No I….I’m sure. But…it sounds absurd. I met you….last night……in my dreams.”
I gasp, looking up into his eyes.
“You remember?”
“Yes. Wait, does that mean……”
