Dear Sunflower, I stood in a field of flowers but chose you
You were the least taken care of
Your petals were slightly limp
But so were mineDear Sunflower, you were so bright and stood out
But people often bumped into you
And the rain hardly reached you in the shadeDear Sunflower, I picked a beautiful pot for you
And picked nutritious soilI wanted to re-plant you so you could grow stronger
So you could be in the sun
You've never truly felt the warmth beating down on you
You've never had someone water youDear Sunflower, you need care
But sometimes im forgetful
Sometimes I forget to water you
I forget to give you my attentionI'm trying, to regrow you
To help you be stronger
Dear Sunflower, I won't forget again
