Maria's Gifting Ceremony(Request)

Summary: Camilo Madrigal and Y/n Madrigal have two children, Maria and Marco. Marco is 15 and Maria is 5. Marco can make things float, and Maria is getting her gift today. 

Pronouns: She/her

Maria trembled in her room, looking into the mirror. The big red bow on her brown hair scared her even more than the ceremony. 

A/N I JUST NOTICED IT SAID BOY AND NOT BOW BAHAHHA

"Maria!" She hears someone yell from downstairs. 

She looks back in the mirror, and starts crying.

She hugs her knees, sobbing quietly. 

The door creaks, as footsteps enter the room.  

Someone sits next to Maria. She looks up and wipes her eyes, sniffling. 

Her dad, Camilo Madrigal, sits next her, smiling. 

"What's wrong mija?" Camilo asks, wrapping one arm around the little girls shoulder.

"I-, I'm nervous papa. I don't want to disappoint you, but what if I don't get a gift? Like Tia Mirabel." Maria says, dropping her head low. 

Camilo chuckles. 

"Maria, mi amor, there's no problem in not getting a gift! Mirabel is just as special as anyone else in this family." By this point, Y/n had walking in, and sat on the right side of her daughter, comforting her while Camilo told the story of Mirabel and what happened to La Casita. 

"It was Tio Antonio's gifting ceremony, and I was greeting the guests like normal, but after he got his gift and we all celebrated in his new room, Mirabel came rushing in, saying the house was breaking and there were cracks. No one believed her, but i had always believed there was something wrong with La Casita." Camilo says. Y/n looks at him and rolls her eyes.

"No you didn't Camilo." She says, smirking.

"Okay, no I didn't, because I was too preoccupied with getting your mom to be my girlfriend." Camilo responds quickly, smirking back at Y/n. "Anyway, eventually the house does fall down, but with the help of the whole town, we build this new Casita, and Mirabel opens the door for all of us. Also, your Tio Bruno had been living in the walls this whole time soo...yeah that was weird. But, Mirabel helped us all realize that we were living under the pressure that we were only special because of our gifts, and Abuela apologized for being strict and we all lived happily ever after. Ten you and your brother Marco came into my life and I became a father." 

Maria nods, looking at her dad. 

"Thanks daddy, that helped." She says quietly.

She quickly hugs her dad, and she wipes all the tears off of her face, and she smiles. 

She runs off to go downstairs, leaving Camilo and Y/n alone in the nursery. 

Camilo smirks, and tilts his head in the direction of his wife. Y/n rolls her eyes as Camilo kisses her deeply. 

After they kiss, they both stand up and leave the room, and the ceremony begins.....

Maria touches the magical candle, and looks over at her own family. She smirks at her dad. 

Camilo laughs, and starts crying. 

"My little girl," He says, weeping. "All grown up." Y/n slaps her husband, and kisses his cheek. 

Maria touches the door knob, and the whole door begins to glow. The door outlines, and there's pictures of Maria everywhere, lines drawn between each place.

Maria looks at her dad, but when she turns to look at him, all she sees is the kitchen wall. Then she looks to her right and now she sees her door. 

"Maria! You can teleport!" Camilo yells, going to hug his daughter. He picks her up and hugs her. 

"Great job mi vida!" Y/n says, resting a hand on Camilo's shoulder. Maria smiles.
