Chapter Five _Saved_

"What do you mean he's gone!" I yell and glare at the representative of the Nekos.

I had come back from an unsuccessful attempt to find the rogues only to find out that one of the guests was missing and possibly in league with them!

Although it's a possibility that he's working with the rogues by his time of disappearance, he could have also been kidnapped while his drunken father slept off the effects of the liquor he requested.

I sigh in annoyance before walking to my desk and sitting down.

"Markus Avin, it seems there's a possibility that you, your son or even both of you, are working with the rogues to dethrone my family. " I say coldly.

"N-Never would we even think of doing something so atrocious." He stutters.

"Mr. Avin if I ever find out that you or your son were involved in this, I will hunt you down and throw you to the hunters."

Before he can respond, the head of our trackers contacts me.

Sir, I have found our guests scent and it's mingled with the scent of two other rogues.

I'll be there soon.

Yes sir, we are at the back entrance of your home.

"It seems that we will find out the truth momentarily. Annet, make sure our guest doesn't leave the room." I say while staring at the Neko the whole time.

"Yes, Prince Nicolai." Annet bows her head.

I run out of the room and shift, effectively shredding a second pair of clothes again. When I get to the backyard, Lewis - the head of the trackers - motions me to follow him. Soon, me and three other trackers are flying through the forest. As I sniff the trail we're following, my eyes widen in surprise.

Lewis.

Yes, Prince?

The kidnapped guest is my mate. Make sure no harm comes to him during our encounter.

Yes, Prince.

The sweet smell of my mate and repulsive stench of rogues gets stronger. I unconsciously speed up and soon pull ahead of Lewis.

I sight them within seconds and pounce on a skeletal yet tall figure. He immediately shifts, but I notice that he's already wounded. I render him unconscious before turning to his friend.

He raises his hands in surrender, but I put him out of commission just to be safe. I look around, but see no sign of my mate and I howl.

LEWIS, TRY TO FIND A FOURTH SCENT. MY MATE SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED FROM THE ROGUES.

"Yes, Your Highness."

I spin around as I hear his voice behind me, but I only growl at him to hurry up. I contact a few warriors to escort the prisoners, and they come and leave within seconds.

Five minutes of thorough searching later, Lewis howls to indicate that he caught a fourth scent.

I shift and pick up on the trail he found before running off in search of my mate.

I end up in front of a house on the outskirts of my castle, and quickly shift. I stride up to the door and open it without knocking or announcing my presence. Once again on the path to my mate.

I bound up the staircase taking two steps at a time and go left down a long hallway before coming to a stop at the very last door. I shove it open and the sight revealed to me makes my jaw drop in disbelief.

My sweet mate.

My cute little kitten who I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting.

My boy... WAS CURLED INTO THE EMBRACE OF ANOTHER MAN ON A BED!

Outraged, I stomp up to the bed and pull the man who dared lay a hand on what's mine off and dump him onto the floor.

He groans slightly before looking up at me with his eyes blazing. Quickly standing up, he shoves me on the chest without saying a word.

I punch him in the face and go in for a kick to the groin, but the pained voice of my mate stops me.

The other man quickly goes to scoop up my mate in his embrace, but I pull him back by his shirt. I give him a warning glare before gently picking up and rocking my mate in my arms.

"MY MATE MY MATE MY MATE MY MATE MINE MINE MINE" My wolf chants in my head.

My mate suddenly shifts into his human form, and I try to shield my mates nude form from the intruder. He cries out for a man named Lucifer while reaching out, and the intruder quickly plucks him out of my arms and into his.

"It's okay baby. Just wake up and everything will be fine. You're just having a little nightmare." He says while shaking my mate.

My precious little darling open his eyes, and I take him back, wanting to be the first one he sees. The first thing he does when he sees me, is scream out in fear. When he starts to cry, the man, Lucifer quickly takes him away from me.

A/N - Okay, so I haven't updated in a month. As a trade for my life, I have given you a twist in the story. A third hunk of man is great right?!

Have you guys ever been stabbed in the bum with a pin? I accidentally sat on one, and it was very painful. I also went to my first doctor's appointment ever, and got blood drawn.
