Andy walked to school with his blue lunchbox in hand. He was in the seventh grade and had a small group of friends (only two people). Their names were Robert Superhalk and Maud Bogtrotter. Robert was the same age as Andy and was really into baking and cosplay. Andy never understood cosplay but thought it was cool because of the costumes.
Maud, on the other hand, was only eleven. Younger than both of them and she was in fact a girl. But, Maud was cool, she wasn't like those girls that made fun of the way Andy dressed or the stickers he put on his lunchbox. She was the only girl in the seventh grade that they liked. The others were mean...
Maud had a severe phobia of balloons, but really liked cars and escapology...whatever that was. Andy was lucky, he had so many classes with both of them and had lunch with them. He had been waiting all summer to finally see them and now that it was the first day, he couldn't wait.
The day went by in a blur, all he really remembered up until lunch was when he talked to his friends in class and got in trouble. On his way to lunch a girl bumped into him, she made a grossed-out face and turned to her friends.
"Eww" She spat, her friends all laughed causing him to roll his eyes. Maybe don't run into me next time, he thought to himself. He picked up the pace just wanting to be able to see his friends and eat the sandwich his mother had made for him.
He spotted his friends, right when Maud spotted him. She waved at him and he waved back. Her brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she turned to tap Robert's shoulder. Then, Robert saw Andy and gestured for him to come over.
"Hey!" He called, speaking in his accent which Andy hadn't heard in a while. As he was walking over, someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around wondering who could possibly be touching him. It was three boys who were wearing jerseys. He raised an eyebrow, thinking they must have thought he was someone else.
"Hey!" One said. "Wanna come sit with us? We sit over there" He pointed to a back table. There were two girls sitting there and two more guys.
"You must have the wrong person" Andy stated simply, as he turned to go sit with his friends. He grabbed his arm to stop him and at that point, Andy was just confused.
"Why would we have the wrong person? Don't you wanna be friends with us?" He asked with a smile. It's not the most appealing idea, Andy thought to himself.
"Do you even know my name?" Andy asked. They paused and Andy was already growing annoyed.
"It's Andy" He turned around when he heard someone saying his name. It was Robert, with Maud next to him.
