Chapter Twenty-Two

Third-person pov:

Blade family enjoyed their family time with Jayce. Now they're having lunch. Ivan keeps staring at Jayce. He just felt like he knows him but he doesn't remember. He pulls out of his thoughts when Jayce said smirking: "yeah, I remember how Ivan sneak into my room to hide from Anna"

Anna smile at him and Alexander said: "yeah, then you both sneak out for ice cream"

Jayce chuckle and Lilith is giggling while hearing her brother's childhood stories. Jayce said looking at Ivan: "so what are you doing these days?"

Ivan shrugged and keep busy eating. Alexander said simply: "he wasn't your sane little boy"

Jayce said smirking: "well, we were best friends and we will be again"

He looks at Ivan who didn't look at him. Ivan phone starts ringing. He saw Albert and went out. He said blankly: "what happened?"

He said grinning: "nothing special boy, just want to hear your voice"

Ivan rolled his eyes and said blankly: "just let me live a day peacefully"

He said smirking hanging up the call: "just one week"

Ivan sighed and sat down on the floor staring at the sun with empty eyes. He felt a hand on his shoulder and flinch.  He looks back and sighed. Jayce sat down next to him then said simply: "you know we're too close when you were little but I guess you don't like your best friend anymore"

Ivan said blankly: "I didn't remember anything and my trust got broken so many times, so I just"

Jayce said smiling: "how about trying one more time?"

Ivan didn't say anything. Jayce said simply: "don't get me wrong but I just felt like she is not the same Anna"

Ivan said shrugging: "because she isn't"

Jayce asked simply: "Uncle Albert"

Ivan nodded his head simply. Jayce pats his head: "I hope I can help you. I can see the pain in your eyes"

Ivan keeps staring at the sun. Jayce get up and going to walk away when ivan said simply: "uncle Jay"

Jayce said smiling at him: "that's my special boy"

Ivan smile a little and jayce ruffled his hair making him wince. Jayce chuckled at him and went inside. Ivan gets a text from Albert who is calling him over at the penthouse. He frowned and get up. He thought he left for France. He went to his bike and sped off to the road.

Jayce went inside and said blankly: "I'm going out for some work"

He went out and take Alexander car and sped off to the road. Ivan reach the penthouse and went to the elevator. The door opens and he walks inside the house. He look around and didn't see him anywhere.  He said blankly: "Albert, where are you?"

He came out from the room looking slightly angry. Ivan looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. He came towards Ivan and slapped him. Ivan said simply: "I didn't do anything now"

Albert growled holding his jaw: " don't fucking lie to me. Tell me you didn't kill them"

Ivan said simply: "I didn't know what are you talking about?"

Albert grabbed his hair and yank his head back making him hiss his pain. He growled: "you didn't then who fucking killed then"

He pushed his back making him hit the table. He groans in pain and looks at him trying to get up. Albert kicked him and he is going to hit him again but stop when the door open. Ivan is groaning in pain because his stitches get open. A single tear rolled down his cheek When he hears Jayce voice: "Ivan, oh my God"
