The Statue

(POV:Ares)

-"What do you suppose..."

-"Ares?" Sebastian tried to capture my attention but I was too distracted by the ship passing above to care.

Sebastian called after me but I ignored him, too intrigued and curious about the ship. I followed it and reached the surface, shiny and glowing things exploded in the sky releasing colorful things in an array of stars. Staring in awe at the colorful lights in the sky, Sebastian had followed me and forbid me to go any closer.

-"Ares? Ares! Please! Come back!" he called after me while I swam closer to the ship to get a better look.

Music and laughter could be heard, along with the stopping of people's footsteps as they danced. From a framed bottom 'window' I took a peek inside, amazed with all the things in front of me.

People dancing, a furry type of animal barking and jumping around until it stopped. It got closer and closer to where I was hiding until a girl called after him. A girl with y/h/l and y/h/c hair called him and petted it's fur letting the animal surround her as it jumped around happily.

The girl was pretty, her y/h/l hair was tied with a y/f/c bow, her dress was white and blue and in the middle a ribbon the same color as the one she wore in her hair. A boy came to her petting the dog as well and mumbled something to her causing her to sigh.

-"Hey there, lad! Quite a show, eh?" Scuttles' voice beamed loudly.

-"Scuttle! Be quiet, they'll hear you!" I shushed him.

-"Ohh, I got ya, I got ya"

-"We're being intrepidacious! We're out to discover" he announced loudly, I had to grab his beak to sush him.

-"I've never seen a human this close before"

-"Oh, she's very pretty, isn't she?" I sighed, laying my head on my arms on the edge of the ship.

-"I don't know, she looks very hairy and slobbery to me" Scuttle was looking at the animal rather than the girl, I moved his head facing her.

(POV:Reader)

-"Get ready sis, Grimsby has a 'surprise' for you" I huffed annoyed then sighed knowing that whatever was coming was going to be embarrassing.

-"Sorry about the fireworks"

-"It's fine, Grimsby didn't do it purposely"

-"Silence, silence" Grimsby's voice declared, the music died down and everyone gathered around.

-"It is now my honor and privilege to present our esteemed and beautiful princess Y/n, with a very special, very expensive, and very large present!"

-"Ah, Grimsby you shouldn't have, this is very kind of you" I thanked him and gave him a small hug.

-"I know, Happy Birthday Y/n!" they removed a white cloth and ribbon from the present to reveal a statue of me.

Eric tried not to laugh, he patted my back while Max growled and the other crew members just gasped and clapped...slowly.

-"Uhh...thank you Grimsby...this has been a very surprising gift"

-"You're very welcome, I commissioned it myself" he beamed proudly.

-"I had hoped it would be a engagement gift...but this I'll do"

-"I told you Grimsby, I don't want to be married off, Eric agreed it was fine" I sighed annoyed and loudly.

Sorry for the late chapter, I opened my computer to post the next one but got distracted finishing up my other story that I lost track of time.
