Chapter 43

"Now, can you tell me what seems to be the problem?" I asked.

Jungkook simply crossed his legs and arms, faced in the other direction and stayed silent. Taehyung copied his movements and faced in the opposite direction too. None of them uttered a word.

I cleared my throat to gain their attention. This shit was really getting on my nerves.

"I'm gonna ask you once again, what is the issue?"

Again, no one responded. They're worse than toddlers...

I scoffed, "really? You're gonna give me the silent treatment now, Jungkookie?" when he didn't even bat an eye, I turned to Taehyung, "and you, what are you giving me the silent treatment for? What did I do to you?"

"Uhm, nothing" he sat up, looking rather nervous.

"Yeah so? Stop being a bitch and talk" I said, "are you copying Jungkook?"

"What else can he do?" Jungkook murmured. 

"You fucker-"

"Oh so now you decide to speak?" I asked Jungkook.

"Nope, still not talking."

"Great, fuck you then." I turned back to Taehyung, "you-" he immediately looked at me, "what is it?" I asked him.

"Nothing?" 

"Well, 'nothing' doesn't lead to an endless Cold War" I said, "you two obviously have a past and are super selfish because you're using me to fight with each other."

"That's not true-"

"Was it a girl?" I asked, "Jungkook never told me about any girl before" I said, "maybe both of you liked her or something and then she obviously chose you because you're more charming" I asked Taehyung.

"Ex-fucking-cuse me" Jungkook finally decided to speak, " I can be charming if I want to-"

"Not with that attitude, nope" I said.

"You're wrong-" he started but I ignored him.

"So? Was it something like that?" I continued pestering Taehyung.

He shook his head, "okay but I liked the part where you said that the girl would've obviously chosen me, what if you had been given a choice-"

"Okay so it's not about a girl" I cut him off, I was too pissed at both of them, I did not want to hear what any of them had to say, "a guy?" I asked and Taehyung shook his head again.

"So it must be because of football. Even when you're on the same team, it often happens that you have different opinions, right?"

"Nope" he said.

"WELL THEN FUCKING HELP ME OUT" I said and sat back, "JEON JUNGKOOK STOP ACTING LIKE A GODDAMN CHILD WHOSE CANDY WAS STOLEN AND SPEAK."

"CHOI Y/N STOP BOSSING ME AROUND" he retorted

"I WILL NOT STOP" 

"OKAY SO WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME?"

"I'M A GROWN WOMAN WHO DOES NOT NEED TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING" I said, "how many times do we need to cover this?" I toned myself down, a little.

"But you know how wary I am of.. of him" he gave a disgusted look to Taehyung, who looked like he wanted to defend himself, but then Jungkook started speaking again, "and he's gonna share your flat with you out of all people? Why couldn't it be someone harmless like MinWoo? AND WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED A FLAT TAEHYUNG? YOU'VE GOT THE BIGGEST FUCKING HOUSE-"

"Be civil Jungkook, talk nicely, please?" I requested. "Taehyung is harmless too" I said, "look at him in his cute yellow sweater and dirty blond hair."

"Aw, you like my sweater? Do you wanna try wearing it? I'm sure you'd look cuter" Taehyung said.

"Nope, I'm sure y/n just said that to be nice.. she doesn't like color of poop" Jungkook said.

"Jungkook-" I whined.

"Right, civil" he said, "I'm civil now.. tell me.."

"I need to get away from my very loud brother and his louder boyfriend." Taehyung said, "plus, I feel too lonely.. I could stay with a friend."

"If you're lonely, talk to someone at a fucking call centre.. and if you need a friend, you have Jimin" Jungkook rolled his eyes for the millionth time.

"Jimin has many problems of his own" Taehyung said, "and I'd rather stay with y/n"

"How do you expect me to trust you? The fact that you have no ill intentions?" Jungkook asked, "given your reputation-"

"I've changed" Taehyung said, "I obviously can't make you trust me, but I give you my word.. I'm just trying to strengthen my friendship with y/n.. nothing else."

"See? it's so much better when we talk nicely" I said.

"Not gonna lie, it looks like couples' counseling" Taehyung grinned.

"Maybe that's what both of you need" I told him.

Jungkook rolled his eyes yet again, "so? should I just trust you and leave a beast like you around my best friend?"

"I assure you, even though you might not need the assurance about this, but I am a beast only in bed.. at all other times, I'm completely human" Taehyung said. For some reason, the way he put it made me blush. And what was that about Jungkook not needing assurance?

Apparently, Jungkook's cheeks had gone redder than mine, but he just cleared his throat, "THAT, that's the reason why I can't trust you.. you're always saying shit like that-"

"Jungkookie" I said, "ultimately, it's my decision.. and I don't mind sharing the space with Taehyung.."

"Wohoo" Taehyung broke into a very adorable happy dance right where he was sitting.

"But y/n-iee-" Jungkook whined.

"Mhmm?"

"That's- I dont know-" he kept whining.

It took me about 30 more minutes of mindless blabber to convince him when I shouldn't even be doing that in the first place..

"Are you still mad at me?" I asked Jungkook once Taehyung had left and promised to return with Yeontan in the evening, along with all of his stuff. He said we shouldn't delay something so positive and that he should move in right away.

"Just.. upset" Jungkook said, "why him?"

"What is your problem with him?" I asked, "there's a history right?"

"That's.. a thing of the past.." he said.

"Then stop holding on to it.. I hate being a way for the both of you to let your anger out on one another.." I said.

"You're not a part of our old.. uh.. issues" he said, "I just care a lot about you and he- well, I dont know what's with him.. at first I thought he was just trying to use you to get to me... for what reason, I have no idea... But then, I'm not too sure anymore.. He has been acting very different lately.."

"Give him a chance?" I said, "maybe he's improving? or something?"

He laughed, "sure.. Kim Taehyung is improving? HA HA HA"

"You just don't think someone can get better" I said.

"He's an asshole y/n"

"A hot one though"

"Is that it? Is that the reason you agreed? Because he's hot? You know what he's like right? I'm hot too.. have me as your flatmate instead-"

"You live two minutes away from here koo" I laughed, "and no, that's not why I agreed.. Taehyung is a good friend.. and I'm sure we can build a better friendship in the time to come.."

"Keep it to friendship though.. "

I rolled my eyes, "YES SIR."
