Third Persons POV

She woke up with a pounding headache surrounded by the darkness. She furrowed her eyebrows, confused as to why it was so dark since she didn't remember falling asleep.

Blinking a few times, the clear exhaustion hit her like a truck, making her so weak.

She went to get up, but the stinging pain on her whole body didn't allow her to, so instead, she crawled out of her room and headed towards the bathroom.

It was hard for her to crawl, but with a lot of silent words to herself, she finally reached the bathroom and took her bottle of pain relievers from one of the cabinets before swallowing two pills with tap water.

She sat down and closed her eyes as she waited for the pain killers to hit.

Alexandra fell asleep for 6 whole hours. She could never fall asleep at night, but instead, she would always accidentally fall asleep in the middle of the day because she couldn't handle the lack of sleep.

Eventually after a while, she could move a little more so she stood up and retrieved her bag of bandages and ointments hidden at the back of the cabinet.

Biting down on a towel, she tried her best to stop the scream that kept coming out of her lips from re-applying the ointment on the cuts and slashes just so they don't get infected.

The hardest part for her, was to clean the slashes on her back. When the cotton pad came in contact with her opened skin every so often, she glued her eyes shut and bit down on the towel as hard as she could from the excruciating pain that went through her back.

At last, she got an ice bag before going to her room and laying down on her bed, staring at the ceiling as she placed the ice bag on her shoulder.

She shut her eyes and tried to get at least a decent amount of sleep before she had to go through the next day.

It was the next day and Alexandra didn't get any sleep at all last night. She couldn't.

She was currently in math class now, she could feel her eyes drooping until the loud bell startled her — indicating that schools over.

She waited until the classroom was empty to leave, she always did that so that she could avoid the attention and the crowd.

"Alexandra, come here please." Her math teacher said as she stood up to leave.

She paused mid step and tilted her head to the side, with confusion written all over her face.

She slowly walked to her teachers desk and stopped right in front of him, waiting for him to tell her why he had kept her behind.

The feeling of her getting in trouble had her heart beating wildly, but anyone in this world would know that Alexandra would never do anything to get in trouble.

But her nervous eyes watched as he got a paper out and held it out towards Alexandra. "Good job Alexandra. Keep it up."

She took the paper from him and looked at it, seeing a 97% marked on the top right corner of her math test, in red pen.

Despite everything going on at home, Alexandra has never let that affect her grade. She made sure to study well for every test and exams to make sure she never got a bad grade.

She wished that she had someone to tell her that they're proud of her but at last, she had no one.

So all she could do was be proud of herself.

"Thank you." She whispered with a tight smile before leaving the classroom and walking to her locker.

Not wanting to carry a heavy backpack home, Alexandra left some books in her locker and walked out of school, starting her long walk back home.
