18. Paparazzi

Alycia's POV:

It's been a month since Y/n surprised me on set. It has a positive and negative effects on me. Positive because William stopped bugging me yay! and negative because people keep asking me questions about Y/n and some of it are too personal like 'is she good in bed', like seriously, they have to know that?!

Y/n invited me to have dinner with her family today so here I am trying to look as presentable as possible, she's going to pick me up any minute now. Then there was a knock on the door. I guess she's here.

I opened the door to reveal a smiling Y/n with flowers in her hands. I swear the flower shop owner is gonna be rich because of Y/n. I closed the door behind me after I got out then greet her with a peck on the lips. After complimenting each other, she guided me to her car then we started driving to her parents house. Gosh I'm so nervous! what if they didn't want me for their daughter?!

"I can feel you worrying from here, relax baby,you met them already, they're gonna love you." She said while intertwining our hands, putting it on her lap.

"I was just a friend then, it's different now, what if they think I'm not good enough for you?"I said, My insecurities resurfacing.

I noticed that we already pulled up to her parents driveway. Gosh I'm so not ready!

"Look at me babe."Y/n said holding both my hands now.

"My parents are good people, they would love you I promise and even if they don't, I wouldn't care because I know you're the best for me." she said, kissing my forehead before getting out of the car and opening the door for me. This is it Alycia, just be yourself.
We walk to the door hand in hand, then Y/n knocked on the door which opened instantly revealing her mom. Y/n greet her with a hug before she hold my hand and pulled me closer.

"Mum, this is Alycia, my girlfriend." Y/n said, smiling at me.

"Hi Mrs. Y/ln it's nice to see you again." I said while extending my hand for a handshake but I was pulled into a hug like the first time we met.

"It's so nice to see you again sweetie. I'm glad you're Y/n's girlfriend now or I would have forced her to date you, you're such a pretty young lady." she said. And just like that, I know I have nothing to worry about.
We got inside the house directly to the kitchen where Y/n's dad is sitting. He stood up when he saw us and greeted Y/n with a hug and kiss on the head. He also pulled me into a bear hug when I was introduced as the girlfriend. We sat down when everything is ready for dinner and started a conversation.

"You're an actress right? you look familiar." Amy, Y/n's mom said.

"Yes, I did projects here and in America.I am currently shooting a film here."I said, she nodded at me with a smile.

"I'm surprised Y/n pursued you, she didn't like actors that much."Amy said ,looking at Y/n as if asking if she's telling me too much. Y/n just nodded at her.

"I know, she told me everything. I would never do that, I know how it feels like to be betrayed."I said sincerely. Y/n holds my hand under the table giving it a squeeze.

"I'm sorry you have to experience that sweetheart, nobody deserves that."Henry, Y/n's dad said. I just gave him a small smile.
We continued to have lighthearted talks after that.

"Is Ian not coming home anytime soon?"Y/n ask her parents. Y/n told me Ian is her older brother, he works for the FBI and traveled a lot.

"No, he has a new case to finished in London so he won't be home soon." Her mom said. Y/n just nodded her head.

After dinner we stayed for another two hours just talking about anything, Y/n's mom loves flowers too so we got along pretty well. She even have a garden full of flowers! We said goodbye to her parents because it's getting late. We are walking to her car now so we can go home when Y/n stop.
