~*~*~Three Years Later~*~*~
I walk out of the Seaford airport with Sloane and my son following me.
"You better not make me regret this, Sloane." I tell her.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine." she assures me.
"What if it's not?" I ask.
"Then we slap him and leave." Sloane shrugs. I laugh at her then turn around to see Koen too focused on his leap-pad and dragging behind.
"Ko, come on." I say. He looks up and runs towards me. I pick him up and carry him out to a taxi.
"You don't have to go after him if you don't want to. We'll just let him find you." Sloane says.
"Good. Because I don't want to." I mumble.
"But I'm gonna go and slap him as soon as we get out of this airport." Sloane tells me.
"And then what are you gonna say? Kim's in town, go find her?" I ask.
"Probably." she shrugs. We load into a taxi with all our stuff in the back and drive to my mom's house. We get out and knock on the door. My mom opens it and gasps.
"Kim!" she exclaims as she gives me a huge hug. "This must be my grandson." mom says as she pulls back and looks at Koen.
"Who are you?" Koen asks.
"I'm your grandma." mom says.
"Mom, this is Koen Jack Brewer. He's three years old." I introduce.
"And I'm Sloane Jennings and I'm 18 years old." Sloane says.
"I know who you are, young lady. Come give mom a hug!" my mom says. Sloane has been like my sister and my mom's second daughter ever since we've met. Since Sloane's mom died when she was little, she's called my mom 'mom'.
"How are you doing, mom?" Sloane asks her.
"Better." mom sighs. "It's just been hard." she says. Last year, my dad died from cancer so mom's been living alone ever since.
"Gamma, are we living with you now?" Koen asks.
"Yes you are, young man." mom smiles.
"Cool!" Koen responds with a huge smile.
"Can we come in?" I ask.
"Of course! And Koen, grandma made cookies." mom tells them. Koen gasps.
"Yummy!" he yells.
"Actually, mom, I have some business to take care of. I'll be back in an hour or so." Sloane says.
"Alright. Bye!" mom waves. Sloane waves then starts towards the pier.
"Sloane McKayla Jennings! Don't you dare!" I yell after her.
"Too late, sista!" she yells back as she keeps walking and waves behind at me. I groan and go back inside. I see Koen sitting at the island on a tall stool, eating cookies.
"Hey, Ko. Are you enjoying your cookies?" I ask. He nod his head vigorously. I laugh then decide to take his bags upstairs. "Mom, where's his room gonna be?" I ask.
"Kam's old room." my mom answers. I nod, pick up Koen's three bags, then walk up to my brother's old room. I walk in and see mom had redesigned it with Thomas the Train themed decorations.
"I like how you redesigned the room." I tell mom.
"Thanks. I also redesigned your old room for you and Sloane instead of just one girl." mom replies. I nod and take my upstairs to my old room. I open the door and see two beds and a flat screen t.v. between two dressers in the center of the room. One bed is striped with different shades of green and the other is striped with different shades of blue. I put my bag on the green one and unpack my stuff.
