TW: MURDER, INSANITY, ADOPTION, DEATH, DEATH PENALTY
The courtroom was full of people and chatter. Remus, Romans brother and his partner Piper were sitting in the stands. Remus had Virgils 2 year old daughter Alula on his knee, holding her little hand while he pointed out her dada for her to see. The room filled with little giggles from the toddler "Dada! Dada!" She calls smiling wide. Virgil walks over and scoops her up "Hello starlight" he smiles and tickles her, ending in Alula erupting into a fit of giggles.
-Time skip-
The judge made her decision "Virgil Storm, I convict you of first degree murder and you shall face the death penalty." People murmer with mixed opinions. "Remus and Piper Prince have been deemed unfit to house a child so custody will be passed to Logan Croft. Court Dismissed."
Officers make their way over, ripping Alula from Virgils arms and handing her to Logan. The toddlers screams and cries echoe around the hall as Virgils dragged away.
Virgil screams "No!! Take care of her please!! Take care of my girl!!" He shouts as he's taken to a cell.
Virgil was sentenced to 6 years in prison before his execution date which would fall on Halloween of 2014. Alula went home with Logan after grabbing all her things from Virgils house once the crime scene had been cleared. Once a week Alula would be allowed to visit her father for a one hour time slot as they deemed it unfair for her to grow up without him.
Romans funeral was held a week or so later. With no attendees. Not even his twin brother or his daughter made the effort to attend.
Piper and Remus both ended up in therapy from witnessing the event, It drove Piper to insanity while Remus was left to care for her.
