3 Weeks Later
Michael's POV
We sit in the waiting room at the hospital. It's Zoe's scan today and the first time I get to see the baby. We also get to find out the gender. I'm so excited!
"Miss West, would you like to come through" a kind looking nurse calls
She leads us through to a small room with a bed and a machine that looks like it is for scanning the baby
"Okay, Miss West, would you like to lay down on the bed" the nurse asks
"Sure, and you can call me Zoe" Zoe replies lying down on the bed
"So, Zoe. I'm Lynn. I'm gonna be the person who does all of your check ups and helps you to deliver the baby. Who is this you brought with you today?" Lynn asks
"This is my boyfriend, Michael. He's the baby's father" Zoe says grinning up at me
"Nice to meet you, Michael" she says, shaking my hand
"Nice to meet you too" I smile
"So, shall we get started?" Lynn says and we both nod
"So, you're about 24 weeks along. How come you haven't had a check up before now?" Lynn questions
"Well, I only found out a few weeks ago. And I kinda wanted to keep it a secret until Michael knew" Zoe explains
"I see" Lynn explains, focusing on the monitor "Oh, heres your baby"
Zoe and I look at each other and then back to the monitor
"There's the head. And theres baby's little hands! It looks like they're waving at you! How sweet. Were you planning on finding out the gender?"
Zoe and I both nod in excitement
"I can tell you that you are having..."
